Sorry, this is incorrect.

On a $5K account, with margin % = 0.1, starting lot size is .03, where if margin % = .01, starting lot size = .01.

Account size does make a difference.

I think you misunderstood me;

on a 5k account (Margin%=0.1), it's starting lot size is 0.3 Buying/Selling Lots Size.
[In terms of account utilization rate (DD Drawdown). its directly relevant to % gain/loss against account 100%.

[Since using %, deposit amount is irrelevant with assumption of margin % of 0.1 = 0.01 Lot*] - was referring to having the bare minimum of margin % of 0.1 = buying/selling 0.01 Lots.

since account is operating in % as trades; therefore account size does not matter as account size will always be 100% regardless whether your account is 10,000 or 2,000.

No, I get what you are saying, but you asked about lower DD, as such, .1% margin on a 5k account will have greater DD than .01% margin, if your TP target is the same. If you modify your TP, relative to your %margin change, then I agree 100% with what you stated.

i think we are back at square one in the sense that the EA doesn't recognized one sided long trend. i wasnt able to backtest with the ffc.ex4 news also.

definitely by changing to Margin % = 0.01 is a alternative solution, just for illustration purposes, full year 2015 yield a estimated 6% ROI with a drawdown of 32%. risk to reward ratio doesn't justified if ever Market Crash happen.

I guess it all comes down to your risk profile and what you can afford to loss. I've been trading the EA since November on a live account and already made back my initial capital.

Due to the fact that the EA can practically double your account in a month, I have the following rules.

1. Only automatically trade on EU, maybe AC due the push/pull effect of this pair. Generates enough on EU alone.
2. Manually trade other pairs, based on hard $ targets in the direction of the 4hour trend
3. Trades are only to be held for 2 days max regardless of drawdown. Yes, I will close out trades that are drawn down 20%.
4. Shutoff the EA if major news the next day, FOMC, CPI, NFP etc.
5. Once news has past, wait 2 hours before restarting EA
6. Do not hold over the weekend.

Personally, I think there are enough features in the EA to help folks avoid a blown account and earn 10% per month.

1. Action over DD
2. Locking Functions
3. Time Start/Time End - This is a big one, you can lower your DD significantly if you use this function. Only trade the Asia session.
4. No trades on Friday
5. Grid Pause
6. ETC.

Sorry, don't use the FFC news filter, because it doesn't work yet.
While this parameter I am using to test the filters of several MA, such as the BBMA indicator.

Boss, do you think it will be a good idea to have the option

Option 1) to close transaction if transaction is open [x] number of days

Option 2) to close transaction at the end of every month.

Im not sure whether this will be able to further minimize DD and long trend. Do let us know your opinion. Thanks boss.

In general, every market session has a different range (eg Asia, Europe and America)
One way to increase profit and reduce DD is a different setting.

For example for EU pairs, use two charts with different magic
1. Chart for Asian session, use smaller Grid 5-9, with TimeStart restrictions: 00:30, TimeEnd: 9:00 (Servertime)
2. Chart for European and American sessions, using a larger 9-15 Grid, with TimeStart restrictions: 9:00, TimeEnd: 24:00 (Servertime)
Besides Grid, Signal_Level or other parameters can be adjusted.

Use the server time broker (Market watch time)
Asia market open, is 00:00
(If I see it at my place (GMT + 7), hours: 00: 00 are around 04:00 to 05:00 am (GMT + 7)

1. About SL / TP
In this EA, SL / TP is not related to Grid or type of transaction.
For example SL: 15 and TP: 25, all transactions will use the same SL / TP distance (15 and 25 pips)
For example:
T1 Buy at the price of 1.1265 ==> SL: 1.1265 - 15 = 1.1250 and TP: 1.1265 + 25 = 1.1290
T2 Buy at the price of 1.1256 ==> SL: 1.1256 - 15 = 1.1241 and TP: 1.1256 + 25 = 1.1281
So the SL / TP is based on each transaction (there is no correlation with the type of transaction)

2. Trailing
Works only if "the first order" or "not the first order and Closing_Option = Disable"
So if the transaction is > 1 (marting), then trailing doesn't work (except Closing_Option = disable)
But if the transaction is without martingale (Martingale_Active = false), Trailing works normally like a normal scalper.
