i don't know which kind of trader you are.
but every TF has a different dynamic. it's up to you which one feels the most natural to you.
i was a scalper and now i prefer day because i couldn't handle the stress of 1m tf.
what i do, i look at W,d,4h,h, and d,4 are most important for me. for entry i use h/15m, because when daytrading, it doesn't matter much.

scalping 1m tf is a total different story, it's all about PA. there are alot of games being played, that's why this system doesn't work that well on small tf. better to look at zones,1, 0,5 perhaps pivot points. but you have to follow the graphs for 1-1.5 hours to get warmed up and to feel what's happening. always trade when there is no news=on quiet moments. trade at the same time every day, because you are gonna feel how the market behaves at that moment of the day. don't trade when volume is low=holidays, it behaves total different and you're gonna lose.

Do you trade Alien System? I would like to see others traders share their charts and ideas. I know that this thread is very old but is very hard to learn without any feedbacks.

This was a good entry because you had support from higher Tfs. H4 had slingshot & strong ADX with RSIOMA under 20, Daily ADX is expanding short.

The M5 ADX is acceptable exit, this would be Ebitalebi's approach to the system earlier on thread - have a look at his posts.

An alternative would be as there is ADX power on M15 you could have trailed your stop along the M15 upper BB for example.

i use alien's system.
but to me the adx is not important, because i only watch 1-2x a day. to me, the rsioma is the most important in combo with the stoch. but you also need PA and perhaps some other indi's, but not too many, because it will be too cluttered. you have to find out which ones you feel good about and which not. so to create your own indi-mix.

oja, for smaller tf, adx is useful.

You mentioned Ebitalebi!! His complete approach to trading is based on practicality. Don't know why he is not around anymore. His last post appeared in 2016. Can't pm him either.

As far as I know Ebitalebi is from Iran, and I think trading is not ufficially allowed there.

God Help ME! I'm starting to think like a banker!

Hey fellow Aliens! I’ve been studying this thread for five years but I don’t post that often; mostly because I’ve only now started live trading very recently (within the last few weeks). So far, so good! Anyway over the years I’ve been learning Alien’s ways and methods and sometimes I put my own things in to help me keep things straight.

One of the things that helped me greatly is learning how to think like a banker. Bankers think in terms of percentages, so on major swing points I place fib expansion lines that are 1% apart. This works well on H4 charts and generally on D1 also. To do that, I put on an envelope channel (a standard indicator in MT4) that is set to 0.5% and use that as my “spacer” for my fib expansion lines. Then I drag the lines to a significant swing high/low. In moderately swinging to heavily trending markets, this works well. In very choppy conditions, these often set the range of movement until a breakout occurs.

When there’s “compression” from the DDS, Alien generally places a trade but if it moves against him, he will put on another one 100 pips or so higher/lower. Well if it does move against the original position, it’s probably going to the next higher/lower percentage line and form a top/bottom there. Another “compression” is generally found there as well.

This is not always “foolproof” of course but it does lend itself to some kind of objectivity that suits my mindset. It makes sense that 1% moves will trigger responses from the people who move these markets and they will manage their positions accordingly. I often find divergences, stochastic signals and DDS swings emerge from these places. Once the move is underway, if it’s any good, it will move to the next percentage line higher or lower. When it stalls near one or just pokes through a little bit on lower momentum, it’s a good place to look for a divergence or other kind of signal.

Looks like it worked out well for you if you took a quick profit. But look at the H4 under Alien V1. Still power in the ADX down, RSIOMA < 20, Stoch 21 < 50, Stoch 8 < Stoch 21.

Last night I took these two:

Shorted CADJPY 6 pips from the top and covered when it went down 1% (I'm still a nervous nelly when it comes to giving back quick profits!)

The next one was EURCAD but the overall technicals made it more risky. There was still ADX power on H4, but it had divergence of Obos, began to make some kind of basing pattern beneath a 1% line, made an "Alien's Hook" at the bottom, had a BBS squeeze, RSIOMA went > 50 and the M15 DDS went in the direction of DDS H1. I took profits at the upper blue box when it began to stall.

I'm starting to get the hang of this on a more consistent basis. I stopped losing money and am beginning to get used to the notion that I can pull some $ out of these markets. But I suppose that's the first step...quit making newbie mistakes due to impatience, desperation, etc... and accept what is presented.

I really must post my setups before they happen. Like Alien says, it helps when you put your analysis out there for others to see. It's a risk for the ego, which, in itself, is the overall issue. Isn't it?

Hello buddy! I really appreciate your feedback. I'm actually still trying to figure out how to take advantage of all the teachings in here. I read the first 200 pages and from page 934 until the last one but I'm still confused. Your template seems different from Alien v1 and v2 too so it is hard to me. Anyway, I'm sure that I could growth my knoledge if others traders like you post theirs setups and ideas so thank you again and sorry for bad english. Greetings
