what to do if one trade is running and in same pair another engulfing appear again, should I take that trade also or skip it ???

Couldn't resist. Loaded two 1 lots and closed one out already for a nice profit at just beloe 100. Moved SL be to 100 for the other lot already. Nice first trade and wake up to profit this morning. I'll try a few more in the week when I get time from day job lols

What I suggest is if the new setup is in the same direction as the open trade I double my position size on the second trade.

If the setup is in the opposite direction I close the open trade and open a new trade in the direction of the new setup.

Heck stopped out on the second lot. Its too volatile and could've let it run to 150 before setting the Sl as per the rules. I would have if it was a sensible lot size like 0.1 or 2. Would still be in as its not retraced back to 0 even though it seems to be a resistance at the 100. All the Brexit uncertainty is great lol

omg noo..should've loaded up more and stayed in instead of chicken out like I did Ok next time

Mind you funny how my I G platform account is nothing like my broker on MT4 (must be the GMT+2hr offset?)

Did you hit your original target? Looks to me in my humble view that this is shaping up to consolidate. The spike was a reaction to something. Probably news looking at the time you posted and working back. You have support across 1.406 and potential for resistance at 1.124. The big candle on the 31st was a reaction to news and this is the buyers completing their moves. The channel has also broken so you might want to wait a moment to see if a new trend forms or if you are in fact stuck in consolidation. That's my view. Don't bank on it :-)

First trade OK. Decided not to take second one as I was a little worried about it. Thank you for your help, you make some great points.

Not to be rude but plenty have already shared their results on this. At this stage of the thread IMHO it's either you do the back testing yourself or you have a look at the setups that are being discussed on the day and go back to your charts and see what PA did.
That's the only way you will learn and become entirely independent in your thought and logic when it comes to trading.
Again not being rude rather looking to help you learn and see what works best for "YOU"

You are most welcome, one thing to try is find your support or resistance line and when it is clear it is an S&R then draw a channel/ trend line and see if it fits. You probably see that it broke the trend and headed south. To draw lines I use the middle of the bar closes where possible and try to aim for where price swings as confirmation points that the trend line is true. With some practice you'll get there. Many green pips to you.
