G'day traders, just a random question out of curiosity -How much money in your opinion you expect is enough to invest to make a living in Forex trading? I know this is very subjective to individual but what income figure will make you quit your day job? if you'd ask me my annual income $40k would be enough to quite my day job.

would you risk your capital to run into 50-70% drawdown, if that is your only meaning for a living?
once you start to define to yourself the downside you are willing to take, you will be a lot closer to guesstimate roughly the needed equity.
there is always, always another trade!!

My friend, the thread starter is a friend of mine. He never sold anything here. Here everything available is free. If you want to sell your product you can start your own thread and sell your product. No problem. But why trying to use someone else's thread?

Luxing pleasure to speak with you, my friend.

We started the demo on 03 different account types:

1) Account in Fxopen starting 1K and leverage 1: 500
Login = 120313911
Investor password = forex1x8
Server address = FXOpen-ECN Demo Server

2) Account at IC Markets starting with 10k and 1: 500 leverage
Login = 10369763

Doing these tests to evaluate the margins and skid capacities of the brokerage firms. We have reached the conclusion, and it is enough to see in the account history that Valutrades and Icmarkets do not show slippage, the orders are correct. We came to the conclusion that we have to have a good margin of safety, so we created this table:

For every $ 2000 in the account start lot 0.01
U $ 2000 = lot 0.01
U $ 4000 = lot 0.02
U $ 6000 = lot 0.03
U $ 8000 = lot 0.04
u $ 10000 = lot 0.05

See that every day I put in which entry was closed each operation. You may notice that the vast majority of entries are closed on the 1st entry, just look at the history in the accounts. If we look at the idea of this system that I created, let's see that until the 7th entry, we will commit the account by up to 10%.

The idea of the system is very simple. I have noticed that pairs like GBPAUD, GBPJPY and GBPCAD have their ADRs larger than 150 pips per day on average. At some point these pairs will run 40 pips in some direction. When those pairs run in some direction 40 pips the EA will close the operations.

I scheduled to take advantage of the best moment of each pair in their sessions. That's why I programmed:

GBPAUD 01 hour
GBPJPY 09 hours
GBPCAD 14 hours

These pairs always run 40 pips somewhere within these respective sessions.

Within which we observed, I came to the conclusion that we have to work with Icmarkets or Valutrades and follow the table, every 2k in the account we start with lot 0.01

I wish you Luxing would continue to track the accounts with the entries, because with your experience you could add something.
