Dear all, I just discovered this great tool a few days ago. Thanks a lot!
In trying to adjust it and create my own "set" file, I find that the expansions are never shown, switched on or switched off...
Have I overlooked something??

I tried to put 0,50 and 100 into the expansions to show up on every screen, but real values like 423 or 261 don't show up as well...
Otherwise, great!

I also find that the expansions don't work on my MT4 platform.
They never have worked for me, however it doesn't matter as I don't need them.
For my purposes it's a great tool.

Despite I don't use expansions, if you upload a screenshot with your settings plus one or two more indicating the problem in your charts, maybe I could help you on this

Thanks Pantelist for your offer to help! Would be great to get this tool working to the full potential...
Here are my screenshot and my set file disguised as text. The expansion lines never appear, and when you disable all the retracement lines manually, the whole tool reverts to the original MT4 settings.

Well, I don't get any problem with your settings shaban55.
Fibtool3 Prefix keys are calling your extension settings and for drawing the expansions I used the relevant MT4 key.

Since Fibtool3 can only project four expansion levels, you cannot have any other displayed in addition.
What you can do for seeing other levels temporarily (which means for as long as you have your mouse' left click pressed), is to go to the properties of an already traced expansion and add those levels manually and as follows i.e. for 50% and 100% respectively:

- for 50% put 0.5 under Level and FE 50.0%% | %$ under Description
- for 100% put 1 under Level and FE 100.0%% | %$ under Description
- and do so for all levels you'd wish added plus also for those four levels you already have set in Fibtool3 settings.

Again, bear in mind that what you'd put in MT4 expansion properties is what it will be visible when you initially draw an expansion; after your mouse is released you'll see only the four levels with their anchors-lines of Fibtool3 indicator and nothing more than that.

Would it be possible to add a BOOLEAN to the percentage field, just like you already did with price field, so as to have all levels drawn without caption??

That's the beauty of having coloured fibs, so you don't need a bunch of characters cluttering the chart.

There should be a a feature to delete levels by double clicking or using a shortcut like holding a key and then clicking on the levels to delete them.

I prefer having the tool with all the ratios I use and then delete what is not helpful at the time. But it is a pain doing that having to go to the indi settings all the time.

Have you tried to use some math package for your programming here ? I have seen somewhere people have much more success here with something like Mathcad or Mathlab for that instead of using C++ or other language I think Forex functions perfectly fits for that use of that software. Personally will try to do something custom with it next time

I notice that you use software Version Control to keep track of revisions of the mt4 files.
I was hoping that you might be able to tell me which version control software you use or would recommend.

Also, if anyone else reading this has experience with different VC products and suggestions on ones that work well with mt4, that would be great as well.

The tool will replace all existing and new fibs during the indicator is active in the chart. By double click and selection (seen on the red price points) you can delete them by using Del-Key or drag the points to change the fib like the original one.
Colors, Levels, Labels and Price can be modified my the indicator parameters.

this will make chart too busy,this indicator can be used alone on the chart.
