1. as a funded trader are the trades copied instantly? whats the lag from the time i press the button in the DEMO to it registering on the REAL account?

2. Is the account matrix data from the REAL account?

I do have more questions about the objective data.
Looking at a successful trader I cannot understand it.
How does he have more daily loss than MAX loss?
Why does the balance graph not show this daily loss? no spike down i can see.
MAX loss is simply total drawdown yes?

imagine these loss limits apply to the day and trial period.
the max -1000$ means your 10.000$ acct can drop to -9000$ max....and you start out your period with some losses, go -85$ bellow your starting capital, but recover before the day ends, and finish in plus.

the intraday loss limit works the same effect.
imagine you have some losses during the day ( but you were already making enough profit that it still stays over the 10.000$ starting capital), and keep trading and come out end of the day in profit.
this intraday drawdown not reach the limit, not cut your trading day short.

your hint: 100% positive days.
this is why the graph wont show any major drop back, cos it is ( most likely) intraday drawdown on open trades, and the graph shows closed trades result.

in a way loss=drawdown, cos in the moment drawdown hits a pre-set level ( in this case 500 or 1000) the drawdown should/would be force closed, ie. get realized, and become loss.

expressed in $$$ term vs %, is to keep things simple; even if you gain +10% in the first day, the limit stays 500 or 1000$, in a sense for the trial not following a progression pattern.

Dear Otakar,
Article 6.3 of your Terms and Conditions says

"The Company has the right to refuse to conclude the contract of the Special demo account with the Customer, if during the Duration of the Contract or the Extended Duration of the Contract, the Customer conducted trades on the Demo Account contrary to how trades are to be conducted on the FOREX market or other financial market or in a way that constitutes legitimate concerns that the Company may suffer financial or other damage due to the Customer’s management of the Special demo account. In such case, the Company shall return the fee paid for the corresponding variant of the Demo Account to the Customer in full."


By the above, are you saying there are other undisclosed parameters by which you determine whether or not to fund a trader who has passed both the challenge and verification according to the rules of the challenge and verification?

I mean, are you saying that passing the challenge and verification according to the rules does not guarantee that you will find the trader as expected?

Hi fellow traders,
I want to add my personal experience with FTMO.
I took the Challenge on September 2018, I still haven't passed the Challenge, BUT (and I think it's an important one) I have paid only ONCE, in September, because FTMO currently offers a free retry if you end up the month respecting all the objectives except for the 10% profit target. So, I'm taking my 4th free retry in a row and I'm costantly improving toward their target.
BTW, that means that I've been able to close 4 months in a row in profit, with more than 50% positive days. I don't think that this particular objective is such an hard challenge at all (please note that their challenge is geard towards intraday or few days long traders). Getting to the profit while keeping a super strict money management and drawdown control (and that means finding the sweet spot between the highest size you can trade and the drawdown risk) is the really hard part.
I'm also taking the challenge of a famous US competitor but FTMO is by far better. Both top USA competitors, though they ask for a lower profit, require a ridicously lower drawdown, for example a liefelong 3% opern dd (no professional trader or even conservative pension fund on the planet is so strict!!!), one even require 3 days constant profit average (totally nuts!) and they're all subscription based! So, even if I paid less upfront, after a few months, I've spent more than I would have for FTMO!

Regarding prop firms, remember that these services are for people with small money and I don't really think that any professional firm will fund you with a 1 year track record on a 2k EUR account... just tell us who will if you know them!
