A cross-party alliance of MPs (including 20 conservatives) was formed today in the UK to block a no-deal brexit at the end of March. They have the majority at the House. Basically they want to bind TM government's hands. It's still very likely TM's deal will be rejected next week (market expectations) but with these latest news a no-deal brexit (very bearish ST/MT/LT for the UK and GBP, bearish VST for EUR) won't be yet a "done deal". There are rumors extending article 50 would be on the table. Thinking that might calm markets down at the time of the vote next week

DXY on the Monthly : I was expecting the dead cat bounce to end around 98.7 a few months ago. I think I will not have it.

that's helpful to gauge markets but I'm not sure you can interpret it as much as you do. that would tend to make it only a matter of arbitrage between bonds and fx in my view

I got stopped at 1.1450 yesterday. This is on an uptrend still.

L 12h and Ny 12h closed under 1460.7. lets see if it can get a foothold below 1443.3 now. 1443.3 could be somewhat st support. probably weak support.

usd still outlooks stronger today. ahead of fomc who knows. the last few hours pressed 1460.7 the larger tf closed below..
the spread widens to 2.51
