earlier today cnbc was showing 1550 too.. the drop is straight down. the others are not showing this drop.. it appears they have shown the rise. if it dropped after is the question. a single bar drop 130 pips is rare.

IDC (=ICE https://www.theice.com/market-data/c...solidated-feed) that aggregates data from different sources had it on their record too, high 1.1545.

Looks like it's all EUR driven. IDC has 126.61 as high for EURJPY, and 1.1496 as high for EURCHF but back to 1.133x now. Looks like it's just 01jan thin market as Bloomberg doesn't have it

I've been tracking this 1.155x - and holding longs - since Powell's tone shift at NY last Nov 28 ("Just below"). I have more or less the same target as you above, 1.1650, if that 1.155x is taken.
1.1650 is, on my chart, the last break down point marking the rejection of the SH at the top of the range via ECB & FED September combo.
But this said, imo, breaking up this 1.155x will have far more implications that an extra target as it will reverse daily downtrend.

Interesting Asia aren't pushing euro higher.

If 1.15 doesn't break then i look for 1.13 near term.

1.12 must still break to the downside imo whether now or from higher up.

Bear in mind 1.1420 has not broken so no short trade. Better to wait for a proper bear reaction
