for beginners it might be better to start with M15 or M30.

M15 or M30 as a Higher TF?

For beginner use lower TF = M15 or better M30 or higher. So you have more time to think! Use smaller Lot and bigger TP and SL.
If you are experienced scalper then you can use M1 and M5.

Ages ago I wrote an indicator based on this, so I could change the time frame to less than 1 week.

My issues it was the indicator is lagging, if I want to enter:
- it shows Short, but at smaller time frame if is still Short, than to late to enter.
- if it shows Short, but at smaller time frame is Long I can't read the crystal ball it is noise or trend change.

Same for exit, when I have a short on longer timeframe:
- it shows short at smallert timeframe I will stay
- it shows long , maybe is a pullback and I should stay or I should exit.

Example from Oanda time frame ( Dec 24 )
Now should I enter with Long or not ( based only on indicators) ? - I think it is to late already.


If I choose a very small time frame is good at news trading, but than I don't really need this indicator. Ex: there is a major news at USD. This indicator will tell me should I trade Eur/Usd, or Gbp/Usd, Usd/Jpy or which major, but not really needed, because there everybody has preferences.

For a complete novice it is still a good tool to show which pair is moving!

It was a post for Aug.
In Aug many lose they accounts, because "is not moving" and they jump in -out.
This indicator shows / should show a trending pair. - Oanda 1Week for example
But the trade system can be changed for ranging instead of trending, when the user decide it, using brain.

A good? ranging trade system are the "quantum" in trade systems. They weakness is the trending market, which will blow the account, hence need to know / guess when is trending when is ranging the market. If I could know I would be on my private island, not here

matheszabi, those heatmaps are worthless. You do not want to trade from it!

First make your homework and read the thread and learn the rules. Do not spam here as competitor. If you have serious questions send me email.
This is not a setup.
USD is flat without angle/slope. USD is also outside of MFib100. It means is too late.
A valuable signal was 10 bars before right on the left side of your picture when both USD and EUR shows a outside double-GAP.

The buy signal was infact 5 bars later when USD and EUR turned inside from outer range.

The trade rules have not be changed over the last 2 years.

Avoid those currencies having bank holidays. Market is expected to be thin. Low liquidity can result in unexpected spikes.
