can anyone give me a suggestion? I have tried to use this concept and I also combine it by finding a pin bar to determine the entry position and exit position, but I still have difficulty when faced with chaotic or irregular candle situations ... are there certain hours of making transactions ?

Not so much the time/hours to trade (though Rocky was very consistent in his trading hours..... hour before or opening of the New York market and 2 to 3 hours after, main reason he gave for this was greater volume/volatility) his main criteria for the trading of a chart was the price action in the previous 4 hours. What he looked for was a non noisy chart(not a lot of erratic price behaviour combined with a good consolidation period and good volume). This was one of the first things he done before trading. Picking what he considered to be tradeable charts for this system.
I cannot quote the posts but Rockypoint posted numerous charts of what he considered tradeable and non tradeable charts in this thread. Go back, read the thread and you will come across them. Its a good exercise in itself to read and re-read the thread to bed down your knowledge of the system.

As Alcol says, you need to look for certain signs where you have an edge.
To be honest, if you follow every signal and if you trade without knowing whether its a bear market or a bull market or whether a reversal could be imminent, trading this system is going to be so frustrating.Why? Because there are a lot of signals almost every few minutes.

Trade this system as a trend following system or as a reversal system, marking exact prominent areas where you will enter when price breaks them.

Always have a general idea of where the market is at the back of your mind.For example, while i type this, as i have been watching charts i know that eurusd, gold, eurjpy are struggling to break a major area of resistance( u can see this on range bars or time charts), so whether im watching charts or not, if i see a sell off i will jump in because it could be signalling a failed break of resistance and i would buy if price broke up.So u are never going to trade until your marked areas get broken.What u do is just watch those areas.

You also do not say what pin bar u are trying to trade with this system? is it a 5 min pin bar, ...or daily time frame pin bar?

If its high time frame pin bars, thats a scary thing to do because u may get in very late or during a retracement....

iF u want to use time charts with this system i suggest u come up with a system to gauge the market direction and sell in a downtrend and buy in an uptrend as shown in the attached chart.THAT IS LIKE ONE WEEK OF LOOKING FOR LONGS ONLY AND NOTHING ELSE. THATS THE HARDEST PART OF TRADING I THINK.PATIENCE....AND IM LEARNING IT TOO.

Remember CLT advised looking at Russel Indices etc with a one minute chart?
Makes some good moves it seems

Hi, all!

Came here thanks to the recommendations of Lem and mr. T. Mainly trade /ES (SP500) on NT8.

Currently reading the thread from the beginning. What pages would be helpful to read? Would appreciate any advice from the pros to a beginner. Delighted to learn.

Are these still valid entry rules?

Today was probably great for every trend following method . ... Looks like indices just won't stop going down. .... Indices and 1 min charts are great combo turnip..

Managed to catch this USDCAD trade.My take profit was hit that is why i exited in the middle of a strong move.That leg alone was about 74 pips!
In hindsight i should have moved my stop to the place i took profit and see how far it can go.Letting winners run!

They will be back but only on forex. But like Rocky says -the one minute is fine but more important on Indices ( See posts by CLTrader)
