i think you're missing the details in the scenario

If someone told you that if you left your house at 936 am every morning and you went west 2.5 blocks

but on the way there, you'd might be robbed, you might trip on the potholes scattered around the path, that sexy hot neighbor might call you over to her house for some "tea time", or you might get caught by the gang shootout from time to time.

BUT, at the end of the path, you'd find 100 dollars would you do it

that's more realistic ..it's simple A to B..but not easy.

So when driving you disregard the GPS because possible sink holes meteor strikes trees possibly down? No trading is hard when there's no plan and it's hard to stick to the plan but if you find a plan that has constant win potential the number 1 rule is trade the plan

good point. i think some people 'follow the GPS" no matter what. gps is a guide, instinct and experience are other factors to help you navigate to avoid unforeseen challenges.

All that for 2500 top prize? Seems like a ploy to get people to trade crude to eventually move the price why else should They do this

I would search another 10 blocks. where there is one, there could be a suitcase of 100s :-

I know, I get your point. Old habits die hard. I have never ever stopped trading when I am ahead... even in stocks. That is why such deep market corrections are my nemesis but in the end, dollar cost averaging beats any active portfolio market guru out there. Even in my 401K, I was waiting for a correction to my make the additional contribution for 50+. Having focused on growth for so long and then to suddenly switch to daily income mode is just a 360 degree reversal for me but I will get there as I want/need/love/adore discretionary income lol

yea seems weird. this trading competition marketing just reminds me of the shit forex brokers always do..to get deposits in

but cme is not a broker. so i think you're right. they want volume and attention to this instrument. There's already CL, so i guess they're trying to get more on this wti ..greedy bastards

we all know the adding of bitcoin futures was such a total waste of their time.

Oanda NEVER did a trading competition by the way. one of the reasons i stuck with them. good old forex broker. but that's old history now for me

Is "Orders and Positions" window the only place to view Account Balance? I need to see it on my chart :-(

I traded with oanda also and actually made large money with them until...... they change CEO then things changed radically big slippage etc that's when I switched to futures

per side

amp clearing: 0.50 cents
cqg routing: 0.1 cents
cme: $1.18
nfa: 0.02 cents

$1.8/contract/side = $3.6 round turn/contract

how much you pay?

even the big guys display their commission table... but not infinity. they're just "special"
