{quote} Very nice trade sir....could u explain your thought process on the GU long? Was it that h4 demand u took the trade from?
Ignored
It was mainly looking left and seeing no supply zones on H4, a strong trend with stacked demand zones with bull PA (H1/M30/M15)

We got a bit of a pullback mid session to shake out weak longs but H4 PA wasn't telling me it was any cause to be concerned.

I think trading is more art than science. Of course we see the same zones, but entry PA is something personal that is hard to wrap specific rules for.

Screentime definitely allows you see the same repeat patterns and PA that you can identify in real time as entries.

If price is moving in a direction on D1/H4 then you can use LTF engulfing entries to hide a stop behind. Price often doesn't go in a straight line so be prepared for some chop and dirty play, especially with GU.

It looks like you've got yourself a zone entry. I would need to analyse MN1 and W1 charts if D1 is the execution chart. Not a pair I've looked at for a long time. That zone is on a daily chart so I would expect a reaction at the very least.

As for RSI, I might look at 70/30 levels if reached on D1/H4 or sometimes H1 and occasionally divergence. I'd say RSI is not very important, mostly just informational (more of a heads up) and not part of a trade decision. A lot of times I don't even notice it at all.

Same goes for 200 EMA. It's nice to have on a chart as info, sometimes on D1,H4 and H1 it can act like support and resistance, but I could quite easily remove both and not be upset.

{quote} that always amaze me how even when we do that same thing we get to have different results or entries I saw newly formed 4h demand and I saw PA engulfing north again so I decided to try that long on that newly formed 15m demand with the DXY supporting my idea oh and always have to add that excuse "I might be wrong..." but atleast it'll be risking 9 pips for 37 pips max reward here. {image}

If you're trading PA you want to see buyers or sellers to come in with some volume. Unfortunately this excludes the Asian session.

Best times to trade:

1) Frankfurt into London open (so 7am - 11am GMT)
2) US open (from 1pm to 4pm GMT)

If you live in Vietnam then that is a great time to trade from the afternoon into early evening.

This H1 zone below would be a great area for an FOMC ambush. Something to keep an eye on tomorrow.

I don't know if price can get down there but these levels on EU rarely get left untested.

It's possible we can move on from this zone we're in now. I've got a few longs on just below current price but that H1 demand is nagging at me...

C12, what's your max and min SL rules ? Is it always in place or do you have it just "mental" ?
How would you trade with a day job from a GMT-0 time zone?

Stops are as tight as possible, position size is calculated based on a 15 pip stop but sometimes slightly widened or tightened depending on the size of PA or zone.

Trading around a full time job is hard but you can find good entries between 7am and 9am and occasionally I'll remote my PC from work at lunchtime.

I wouldn't recommend applying much capital to this if working full time. A couple of grand at most until you're ready and financially able to make it a full time career.

See my last posted chart. I'm looking to long off that H1 demand zone which I'd like to see hit tonight.

I can also see from all conventional technical analysis that this should be a slam dunk short on EU (short term uptrend break, S/R retest , down trend etc).

Then there's that H1 untested demand zone. If it gets taken out then there's opportunities to get involved on the short side with PA. We'll find out in about 15 mins.

Just engulfing entries. Probably easier on M5 to see.

Was a bit of a slow FOMC on EU but a nice collection of scalps.

Probably should have scalped this all the way down from the open but sat waiting patiently to see what this H1 zone was going to do. This is why limit order zone traders often get cheesed off.
