Well, that does offer a very small stop loss....but then again - this is all based on Erdogan and Trump in a stand off. The US just levied tariffs, so I am not so sure we don't break lower to be honest. This one is purely about headlines.

I have been trading for a prop desk lately, and oil has been the majority of my work. its been a wild ride, but i think these two charts could be worth looking at. posted from barchart, because Rithmic has horrible charting.

I think we are going higher, and have traded as such - but only for a little while longer. I think S&P will come close if not right to the 3,000 level by the end of the year - and we will chop back and forth in the meantime. This next couple of months are going to be a bitch.

Yes, I don't know what in the hell happened, but the thread disappeared a while ago - and now its here.

I am trading my own money, a fund's money, doing my daily analysis for web sites and trading firms as well. I have been making my living from the market in one form or another for over 7 years now. That isn't going to change, no matter if I am at FF or not. To be honest, I thought this thread had been erased, and only knew about your message because I got an email about it.

Hello Chris, thanks for answering back.

Indeed the thread kinda disappeared, and thats a shame because I think its one of the best and has one of the most valuable information. I discovered this thread a few years ago and it literally changed my trading not only on technical but also on psychological level.

I think I already said this a few times on here, but thank you so much for your effort and sharing with random people your wisdom.

If I may ask, which web sites are your doing analysis for? Would be nice for my trading to keep track on those analysis.

Chris, thought you had a regular job too?

I'm still plugging away in the salt mines but prefer doing this... Then again i've kinda moved on from Currencies, strongly prefer stocks/bonds/futures.

The analysis is my 'regular job.'

I am presently trying out for a prop desk trading futures - volatility is killing me these days though. Move way too fast at times. The ES and CL both have spanked me a few times as of late.

I couldn't trade CL -- each penny being worth $10 is too rich for my blood. Similar story w/ ES - if you're trading 5m/15m charts sure but i am slower and trade daily/weekly so i gotta keep positions smaller.

Good Luck with it. I like having a paycheck so this works for now.

Jesus, I wish. The shops I work with all close at the end of the day - there is no way I could do that. What contracts are you trading?

Sorry if my last post was unclear -- I don't trade CL or ES. I don't like the size of the futures contracts and need to size my trades smaller. Pretty much I've found that I can put on pretty much any trade i want with ETFs so that's what I use!

To be honest though, I'm more of an individual stock guy these days. Find it more interesting.

My job makes me hold any Stock/ETF at least 30 days so that kinda restricts what i can do...forced to be more long-term.
