Overlook before NFP news:
"The Euro is trading little changed on the upside at around 1.1420 after breaking away from the downward sloping trend on Thursday. The Eurozone PMI is due later on Friday with a major event in the US non-farm payroll report with market focusing on both wage growth and headline NFP data. The first was a news indicating that the EU and UK reached a deal on financial services. The headline was later denied, but equities kept rallying as US President Trump tweeted that he had "a long and very good conversation with President Xi Jinping of China," adding that trade discussions are moving along nicely. US data were mixed, with signs of upbeat wages´ growth but soft jobs' creation ahead of Friday's Nonfarm Payrolls, and disappointing Manufacturing PMI. The official ISM Manufacturing PMI came in at 57.7 for October, down from 59.8 in September, and printing the lowest reading in six months. The Markit Manufacturing PMI resulted at 55.7, below the preliminary estimate of 55.9 but above the previous 55.6. Dollar's sell-off cooled temporarily in the US afternoon, but there was no relevant change in intraday trends, nor significant pullbacks, with the EUR/USD pair settling around 1.1410 ahead of US employment data. The world's largest economy is expected to have added during that period 190K new jobs. The unemployment rate is foreseen steady at 3.7% while wages are expected to have risen 0.2% MoM and by 3.1% YoY, this last, well above year-average, as Average Hourly Earnings' gains have been below 3.0% since mid-2009. Ahead of it, the EU will see the release of the region's Markit final Manufacturing PMI for October, which will likely have a limited effect on the pair.
Sterling is trading little changed around the psychological level of 1.3000 ahead of UK construction PMI and more importantly the US labor market report scheduled for later. Sterling was boosted on Thursday on a combination of Brexit optimism and the Bank of England ready to deliver a rate hike a year strategy. The Sterling led dollar's sell-off this Thursday, as, during the Asian session, news agencies reported that British PM May struck a deal with the EU on financial services. The GBP/USD pair regained the 1.2900 level during Asian trading hours, suffering a knee-jerk following the release of October UK Markit Manufacturing PMI, down to 51.1 from September 59.7. According to the official report, new orders and employment decline for the first time in 27 months. The pair, however, regained the upside and broke higher post-BOE's monetary policy meeting, as policymakers unanimously voted to keep the benchmark interest rates unchanged at 0.75%. There were modest revisions to growth and inflation forecasts, but overall, the central bank seems quite confident and even hinted rate hike coming, conditional to Brexit results, not expected anyway before May 2019. The UK calendar will offer this Friday the Construction PMI for October, foreseen at 52.0 from the previous 52.1"

Observation: DDS slingshot v1 set ups work much better if they line up close to stochastic rubberband or X or half cross. Clearly they don't work so well if stos are showing market topping or bottoming.

Example: EU H4 chart below - When DDS set up happen the 8 sto and 100 sto are at bottom and green sto nearly at bottom. So it didn't go far before reversing.

Of course ADX expansion can sometimes override the stos - this is why Alien system need lots of screentime to develop the experience to see how all the ingredients mix together to make Alien cakes.

Other comment: As in this example, the 8sto/green sto cross often works when a DDS is building to get you in earlier, (props to other Aliens for pointing that out way back), but you need to make sure other elements on lower TFs are right.

New fundi update:
"The EUR/USD hit a new two-week high of 1.1473 during the US election night before consolidating in the mid-1.1400s. Republicans retained the Senate and Democrats won the House as expected, but it was quite dramatic. Early on, Democrats seemed to be on course for a landslide, and the greenback dropped. The odds turned against them later on, and Republicans were in reach of retaining the House. The US Dollar bounced back and the EUR/USD temporarily fell below 1.1400. As time passed by, Democrats gained more and more seats and the US Dollar fell back down. While the result was expected, a divided government will make Trump's life more complicated. He will face fierce opposition if he wants to enact more tax cuts and will face investigations on his business dealings.
The GBP/USD pair topped for the day at 1.3096, its highest since October 19, as despite contradictory Brexit headlines kept flooding news' feeds, hopes for a deal prevailed. Among several other news, the most relevant was EU related, as the Times reported that the Union is preparing to offer an "independent mechanism" by which Britain could end a temporary customs arrangement with the bloc. While not a final solution, at least will be enough to break the stalemate in negotiations, and grant and deal split by March next year. EU's leading negotiator, Michel Barnier said that the EU won't seal a deal that doesn't include avoiding a hard border in Ireland, adding that he will recommend a summit only with decisive progress on an Irish backstop. UK PM May´s cabinet met this Tuesday, where ministers discussed a compromise plan for the Irish backstop. There won't be further meetings this week as plenty of work needs to be done, according to a May's spokesman".

@alien and others
i'll try it again.
when everything is fine=indi's ok, charts ok, but at some moment there is news and you have a major reversal, not only for 1 day, but for weeks/months. when do you take your losses? using indi's and other technicals, i can look perhaps 3 hours forward, 4h and more, there is always news which can lead to a major reversal. how do you handle those situations?

If you've become competent at the system, you should go and look at your risk management.
Even with a good % win rate you can get your ass chewed. If you can become consistently profitable and can gain say 10% a month / more you will be a millionaire at some point. If your a greedy little bugger and think your indestructible ( like I have done in the past lmao ) you will lose capital or 'stand still'.

@sparkoz
it's the problem of having to trade for 4h or more. with this system i can look 3h forward, i can win 10-20 pips, when i lose=news=100-200 pips. iow win/loss ratio isn't good at the moment. the system is ok when nothing happens, unfortunate normally it isn't. i can't calculate news.
so, for how many hours do you have a trade live? and what is your win/loss ratio, do you use SL?
it's about trading much time=tf and w/l pips. i haven't figured that out yet

News have a temporary effect , if big money want to make a bullish market , you will see it even if its a very bad news
You must use mtf DDS & use volume to see where smart money enter the market ,
its simple :
imagine à bullish market making a top then you see a pick of volume , in a logical way you Know that professional sell from top
then you wait to see a small fall then a retest of this area where we had a pic of volume , if you see up bar a with very small body and a very low volume then you have a 99,9% of chance that market will fall
formula : dds overbought + very high volume at a key lvl + retest of this area with low volume + Next TF DDS say sell
this => 99,999999% win with a little draw down and very low stop loss
volume with alien system it’s just amazing, it’s like adx except the fact that volume give sign 4 to 5 bar before the move.
best

@madboy4u3
i've used volume for scalping. for scalping it's only volume and price. but i will check your method.
to me, holding for hours or more, i've noticed volume is less important. use w/d/4h/h tf's, especially d/4h main tf.
my method is now to make a trade in the morning and want to end in the evening. i don't want to check the charts in between anymore. so, i'm holding trades for a day, and there is alot of news in one day.
