Didn't the S&P 500 full and mini (don't remember the letters) used to be quarterly, too? Maybe they still are, I never liked them much....I liked the S&P 100 (OEX) way better!

SPX has quarterly dates. I should look at SPX more often. I'm like you, though, money - I have things I do m/l over and over and that works for me. My goal with trading is for it to be easy, safe, boring, and lucrative.

lots to like about SPX, like cash settlement, etc.

There are weeklies and the monthly which I believe can be combined for a cheap 1-day time spread. The Dec21/Dec21 spread shown is for the Dec21 weekly vs the Dec21 monthly, which have same dates but different time of day expiries? One has AM and the other PM settlements.

Need to study more...

At what point do the tighter financial conditions produce a response by Fed officials. A reasonable starting point is the January-February stock market slide that saw the S&P 500 surrender 12%. The Fed still hiked rates in March. A similar drop now would take the S&P 500 a little below 2600 (vs. yesterday's close @2705). Some analysts see the put's strike price in the 2300-2400 area.

2,300 would wipe out all of the Trump era stock market gains.

Added CAT Nov9 116 CALL @ $2.66

CAT should make up for any losses of SWK, since it is being stubborn moving up. Still has a week.....

This should give it plenty of time to bounce back.

Funny, watching Time and Sales, there is a $0.70 delta between bid and ask, but bids keep getting hit, as well as asking prices. Some people want it badly and some people want to get rid of it badly.....

Will we bounce after the elections? I filled SPXW Nov 16/19 2825 calendar calls for 45c...so.....maybe?

Just waiting to see what EWZ will do next week....need it to stay under $43,,....maybe most of the election result already baked in.....

Well, got out of CAT this morning. Might regret it, as it probably has another couple of up days left in it. But a decent profit, anyway.

CAT Nov9 115 CALL up to $5.85 from $3.45

CAT Nov9 116 CALL up to $5.10 from $2.65

I'll get rid of my Nov2 SWKs tomorrow, still have Nov18 112 CALL that should make up for the losses of the Nov2 ones.

Tough week for CALLS when the DJIA drops 1000 points the same week. Good thing that doesn't happen that often!!

Just be careful, the weekly chart shows its ready to pop up soon. Matter of fact, I might get into the Nov19 with that one after it drops today. I'll see what it's doing at the open tomorrow.

re EWZ kind of expected "buy rumor, sell fact" and EWZ hit a high over $41 early and now falling toward $39. I took 50c on the Nov2/Nov16 $40 calls and holding everything else, too numerous to list, but I need EWZ to drop under $34 or rise toward $42 by Nov16 to make good money on any of it....
