I traded GZ down for 20 pips from 19680 but should have got a lot more if I had traded it (or GBPAUD) earlier. The moves only really got going in the US session

I just wondered if over the weekend anyone is interested in joining me in identifying significant levels on those trading pairs where they might have appeared?

I have found two so far. EURCAD at 149,50 (also a BRN so could be quite strong) and GBPUSD at 128.35/6

it's really important IMHO to identify and trade off these levels (see the video I posted above) if at all possible. Taking EURCAD as an example, one can see how many pips were available to the canny trader

Might be more and probably is, but if you can find them it would be great to identify them all so that we're ready for next week's battle with the big boys!

Interesting on EURCAD how it followed the normal pattern - bounces off and comes down then retests with a strong move up trying to induce buyers and then finally comes down

OK - I've found three more

EURUSD - resistance - 11415
support (was resistance will now act as support) - 11380

EURJPY - resistance - 12770

GBPCAD - resistance - 16850 (BRN)


These are important levels to watch going into next week especially in the case of these pairs because price action is not that far away

Good to draw solid horizontal lines at these levels so that one doesn't forget them in the heat of battle!

H4 chart levels absolutely valid and it's conceivable that price might get back up there eventually. But I was more thinking of levels that will effect our trading decisions over the next few days not in the distant future! Having said that, if important news data coming out of the EU on Tuesday morning is very positive, who knows - may get back up there in a hurry. But I am still bearish on EURCAD and GBPCAD at the moment.

allow me to explain a bit more........
for eurcad. the red horizontal lines were drawn based on d1 charts. the blue horizontal line based on h4.
one can even go down to h1 to draw, which to me is good for scalping.
the price now is sitting on a red horizontal zone. depending on one's judgement, if lower time frame candle close above, one can buy till the blue line, or buy scalp to h1 line.
if lower time frame candle close below, one can sell till the next red line, or sell scalp to h4/h1 line drawn according to own judgement.

what i have shown is one day's range, 70 pips up or 100 pips down, which is normal for a pair like eurcad. in between one can day trade or scalp using h4/h1 support and resistance as a guide, or trade the bigger day's range. even bigger level will be from one red zone to the next or two red zone away. so it's a multi level thing suitable for all kinds of traders.

OK yes your levels look good!

But I do think that intraday support/resistance levels are generally ignored by retail traders. The reason is that they just don't appreciate their significance. That is just what smart money wants of course! They want the smaller guys to be on the wrong side of the trade which of course occurs 90% of the time.

Here is an example below of EURAUD 30 min chart from yesterday. It's absolutely fascinating to see how the action around the resistance level at 1.6180 (which also happened to be the Asian high) mirrors what Mark Chapman explains in that video above, how price is manipulated to take out stops above the resistance level (in this case it went up exactly 10 pips - a lot of stops were taken out, I bet. Before that last candle reversed, the position must have looked quite bullish sucking in a lot of suckers! Wonder how many people have watched and digested the info in that video because he makes a lot of sense.

I think it's really really important to identify a possible level developing (very often the level is conjunction with a pivot point, asian session high/low line or BRN). Then wait to see if the area is re-tested and trade the reversal candle. Either that or wait until the move has developed and trade a suitable minor retacement. Of course the former is going to yield an awful lot more pips if traded successfully.

Lastly, notice though how the manipulation did not coincide with the CCI chart which had crossed down.

thanks for bringing this up.. I've mentioned the importance of intra day level's and yet your right many retailers simply don't give peanut's.... and the ten pips.. swing failure.. money on floor .. etc liquidity search technique .. search tom dante on this subject..

You've still got me on your ignore list so you probably won't be reading this as a friend of mine says "Ho Well"....

The majority of Trading that goes on is Banks placing Orders for theirs clients within a Price Range stipulated by the client.

Market Direction is Dependent on where these Orders are sitting which ever side has mosts Orders in the Game will win out.

This is why we see so called "Manipulation" as Price gets moved around hoovering up Orders.

Market Structure is the Key Factor when it comes to our Trading because, as Retail Traders, we don't know Big Moneys Intentions until after the fact.

Market Structure, to a degree, gives us "their" Intentions, at least in the short term.

Again, because we don't know Big Moneys Intent, even with Market Structure, we don't know how long a Bullish or Bearish Bias will prevail.

This is the story of Trading at the end of the day....

i read here often and i like what you have done for us, BUT i see also many posts that are more show another way of trading. Is this something you are comfortable with? Please if not, take care of your work and post good examples how you trade the way you have shared on the first page and make a statement for the direction you wish here.

Let me make this clear also.. Don't care how you think market work's// Big picture or small picture..

Learn OP and use it the way you want, breakout's/S/R level's pattern's. etc.. trading news, trend trading, counter trading, m1 to day trading.. you can learn Only pattern setup and use whichever way you think. Main thing is you train on that setup and that you have an edge..

We all have an opinion .. they are like faces.. there are many ... main thing as stated above...

Trade and win.. share your perception because you can never, and I mean never have EVEN 10 Same trained trader's precieve thing's the same way..

I believe the way atheer shares the foundation basis is a good start and one can choose to model him. his an excellent role model.. one can choose to learn from other's and format his own way..........
