It seems interesting. Thanks for sharing. I think what would be useful instead of an EA would be an indicator giving an alert when both RSI and Stoch meet the criteria, then the trader would watch the close (and possibly other criteria such S/R or whatever they might like as a filter) and decide. I wonder if anyone would be up for it...

Thanks. I'll have a look. One question, have you discovered how to get Stoch & rsi to work on the same scale?

Don't think it's necessary. 2 windows should be fine.

Unless you're looking for the suggestion in post #13 by rookie14 I'm not sure what you mean.

Both rsi & stochastic are based on different formulas. The scale (0-100) is based on two different things. Every time I've tried overlays, whilst moving the charts forward or backward, I see changing movement of the lines. The only line structure that is true (in my testing) is current time. Kind of hard to describe without video. Test it yourself to see the past movement.

Maybe because Hedge Fund, as its name suggest doing Hedging ?
they doing different things like Delta Neutral strategies or HFT that makes much easier money then outright trading.
But its different world.

For small retail clients this strategy could be good for making some money.

deanoracer, attached is an indicator that generates signals pursuant to the strategy in your thread. First thing that becomes obvious is that nearly all of the signals are counter trend signals. Tough to see 75% winners. I put it together just to see if I wanted to spend time on your strategy. I pass it on for your use. Thanks for sharing. George

Ryder... Thanks so much for taking the time to build and share a signal indicator. The 75% is non automated research... only looking for 10 to 20 pips at a time... I have more work to do sharing observations... like - divergence, fibs targets, S/R, higher timeframe correlation, etc...

I will continue to build on this set up as I believe it has potential...
the shorter the timeframe, the more likely it is countertrend, but I do see a lot of 10 to 20 pip moves when this setup occurs. Trailing the stop is important, and I hope to spend more time on this part of it soon

Just received a PM requesting that alerts be added to ###10_pips_A-Day_Signals.v1.0. The indi has alerts -- both audio, popup and email. Do not understand the request.

nice system !
Here is a mtf stoch alert indi from another stoch thread. You can get trade alerts when lines leaving obos zones or crossing each other.
Used as mtf, chart looks a bit smoother and some wrong moves are filtered out, so with mtf rsi (rsi 8, close , M30). By using two subwindows, it looks even better. Cause you get your stoch alerts anyway.

Take a look. No bollies, just a MA 21 lwma (like bolli middl line) cause you get your alerts anyway. MA for target and trend and clean chart. Yeah, your right, I don`t like bollies. Bit diff. settings of stoch cause it is one tf higher, I guess some tests what is best will be good as all pairs behave a bit different. But you see what I mean...get your trade alerts from stoch.

.... with the mtf stochastic alert indi you can go for 10 Pips by getting an alert when level 50 is crossed too and/or rsi joined (no alert, just by wathing) crossing it`s 50 level too.

That way you can do more trades than the one you planed per day.

Gotta correct myself on this one. Just tried RSI over Stoch, and it worked fine.
I was thinking of overlapping other oscillators on MacD.

Have put 3 days into testing how this works. The basic premise is solid. I do like to monkey with ways to increase wins, and would like to propose one addition, provided deano is OK with this.

I'm using his Stochastic, with RSI overlay as suggested in this thread. I also like divergence, so I added a separate Stochastic window, using; %K 3, %D 5, Slowing 2. Shows up as 3,5,2 in subgraph.

The levels are 23 & 77, both approximate fibo numbers.

Rules follow basic entry as put forth in Post 1.

Divergence in 3,5,2 Stochastic, is for both Regular & Hidden Divergence.

Below is a screenshot showing a perfect trade.

13, 8, 5 Stochastic colors are Orange/Yellow, with RSI being Aqua.

3, 5, 2 Stochastic is Orange/Yellow

Have only tested EU M15 for 30 trading days, and only from 2 hours past London Open until 2 hours past US open. 11:30am Eastern (Standard time begins today in US & UK)

Checking from Sept 17, through Friday, Oct 26 (30 Trading Days), There were 11 wins & one Potential loss. I will show the loss later, because I do have one option to reverse the loss, but that requires much more explanation, so maybe later.

Set up;
• Provided basic rules are met, I begin watching for divergence on 3, 5, 2. If there is No Divergence, I would not initiate a trade.
• If I do find divergence, I then verify both High & Low points are either both above 77, or both below 23, when trade triggers.
• Stop is uncertain, but probably 12 or less.
• Target is 10

Looking @ 63 trading days from June 18 through Sept 14, only 5 trades set up. 3 W's, 2 L's. Guess Summer is not good for EU M15.

Now will start looking at other Pairs & TF's.
