DislikedGBPUSD M5 PASR Trend Trading {quote} Yet another example of how SIMPLE, M5 PASR Trend Trading is. No complicated strategy, no fancy words needed, no indicators needed - only an UNDERSTANDING of M5 PASR Trend Trading coupled with Discipline, Patience, Focus, Determination, Perseverance and a good dose of common sense! You are right, Yomi - it is ""Happy Trading""! Thank you.Ignored
DislikedAUDJPY Even though I came back to THE PATH, I saw this double bottom on the 4h chart. The R / R ratio is not the best, but 80.00 as the first TP are affordable. Greetings to all. {image}Ignored
DislikedWow, I am glad that the thread has became more active since I left. Can't wait to join in the discussions. Alright, so my first analysis on GBPCAD. Big Boss: {image} Price is clearly still in a downswing. Not intimidated by the Hammer, as it is 'out of place'. Boss: {image} This week is the 8th week of the Weekly Control Candle. I decided to use the candle of the 2nd September, as the candle of the 7th October exceeded the range only by a little. Worker: {image} Now, there are three possible entries. I will talk about them briefly. 1st blue arrow:...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Ok. Sorry! I thought you were talking about H4 rather than my entry on WORKER {quote} Thanks again, BTS {quote} You mean the one marked on my chart? {image}Ignored
DislikedSince most on here will think that M5 is ""too fast"" to trade (which it really is not after you have tuned your PASR trading brain to it - it becomes slow, as does M1), perhaps you could post your experience on this.Ignored
DislikedRemember, it is NEVER about PIPS won. PIPS are meaningless, have no value and are no measure for being "consistently profitable". The $ value of the "pip", and therefore the money, is all that counts.Ignored
DislikedUSDJPY BASIC PASR WORKER {quote} Was this a "spur of the moment trade" or did you do a 3 time frame analysis? The Daily chart looks inviting for long trades with its L-H-HL-HH etc., structure but its Bosses would have kept me out. If it was my trade, I would be dropping down to H4 or H1 and getting out as soon as I could near my blue line. Again, why has no-one else commented on this? {image} {image} {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Morning, Strat! Thanks for your comment. Was this a "spur of the moment trade" or did you do a 3 time frame analysis? I did but I understood next resistance was 115ish and did not consider 113.72 as a resistance but just as a wobble area. BIGBOSS Immediate trend is bullish and price is above StratShadow (SS)=> bullish bias {image} BOSS It marked a Swing High a couple of weeks ago and last week it seems it found support at 111.54 support and SS => bullish bias {image} If it was my trade, I would be dropping down to H4 or H1 and getting out...Ignored
DislikedEUR AUD M5 Trend Trading {quote} Well done, Malu! You have a wonderful reply from Yomi, our resident M5/M15 PASR Trend Trading expert - Thank you, Yomi - TRADERS HELPING TRADERS when I have a look at M5 trend I wait in the morning until 8.30/9.00 am (London time) until I jump on the train (TREND). Today it worked very well: I added the position and especially the exit was fine. Yomi's reply is more eloquent than mine but it is still worth repeating: We look for PASR trades which stand out like a SORE THUMB. {image} {image} No TREND - NO TRADE. NO...Ignored
However, a team of neuroscientists from MIT has found that the human brain can process entire images that the eye sees for as little as 13 milliseconds the first evidence of such rapid processing speed.
That speed is far faster than the 100 milliseconds suggested by previous studies. In the new study, which appears in the journal Attention, Perception, and Psychophysics, researchers asked subjects to look for a particular type of image, such as picnic or smiling couple, as they viewed a series of six or 12 images, each presented for between 13 and 80 milliseconds.
The fact that you can do that at these high speeds indicates to us that what vision does is find concepts. Thats what the brain is doing all day long trying to understand what were looking at, says Mary Potter, an MIT professor of brain and cognitive sciences and senior author of the study.
Lets say it takes 20 milliseconds for my slow brain to process VISUAL information...
If my calculations are correct... My brain cell can calculate that visual information 15,000 times in one 5 minute candle. This is why Strat has been telling us that when we "THINK" it gets in the way of trading. Thinking gets in the way of your private processor your brain.
The book "Blink" by Malcomb Gladwell is an interesting read on this very topic.
Disliked{quote} What is still hard for me is the psychological aspect, on which I have to work on hardly. There also M5 provides more opportunities when a trade is closed (with Profil or loss). I try to move on to the next one. I make a plan and stick to it. Writing this, what sounds logical, I will also mention that I also had to learn that lesson on the hard way. So I made mistakes like: doubling when the trade is in the loss, becasue I wanted to win the money back, felt "in love" with a trade, set a SL in my brain but did not trigger it etc. All the...Ignored
