Effortless Trading Explained + FAQ

Here I simply want to keep it limited with only explaining my "Effortless Trading" methodology, from which I perpetually make use of. Think of this thread as a temporary "classroom" where all the answers related to my system shall be provided. The reason for creating this thread was the many questions that came as soon as I mentioned it on my "EURUSD Only" thread. Members naturally started asking questions to understand the logic and the thread was simply not the best place to share my answers to all questions at once. But here I can do that. Below you will find many posts that try to explain my idea. Nothing too serious here.

My Most Current Settings (Last Update: 2025.07.07):
RED WMA Line (H1): Linear Weighted Moving Average, Period: 28, Horizontal Shift: 1, Vertical Shift: -77, Apply to: Weighted Price
BLUE WMA Line (H1): Linear Weighted Moving Average, Period: 28, Horizontal Shift: 1, Vertical Shift: 77, Apply to: Weighted Price

Angled Line for H1: 6 candles wide and roughly an angle between 35 to 45 degrees based on trend direction!

I use my own MACD indicator with settings as shown below:
Fast MA: 5, Slow MA: 27 and Signal MA: 9 (All types are linear weighted, and 0 shifts)

The indicators I use:

1. The "Green" Line

At the time preparing the chart explanations I was using the settings "54 Shifted 2" but from time to time we must alter the settings depending on the chart flow. I will update the most current setting I am using on Post-1 whenever I make alterations.

If you ask for the reason why we need to alter the Green line from time to time, well, every currency pair has its own flow and even when sticking to one specific pair, the candle flow of that currency (in our case the EURUSD) can show a slight change in price action over time. The reasons could be the lack of technology, MetaTrader, missing weekend candles, summer-winter timezone settings, global differences between broker server time, candle gaps etc. etc. These can create distortions. And therefore I like to re-check the best touch points that I can get on my H1 chart to decide what the best settings for the green line could be. I hope it explains.

To draw these lines correctly first, make your chart window as big as it gets (preferably full screen) so that you can fit as many candles as it gets into your view. I generally use zoom setting 2 (assuming 0 is the most zoomed out setting where candles become tiny teeny and MT4 or MT5 doesn't allow you to zoom out any further).

To draw the correct RED and BLUE trendlines simply follow instructions on the chart I shared below. There I was using 33.3 as the angle but lately, I altered it to 36.9!

I draw my magnetic lines manually. But if you want an indicator for it, use the "Target Indicator" which I shared below. The concept belongs to @kiwioz and it was coded by @caldera.

9. The Main Logic of the "Effortless Trading" Methodology

The image below explains the main reason why I make use and focus only at RED TL breakouts in bullish and BLUE TL breakouts in bearish markets. The idea is to focus on the trend and not to fall immediately into the ill mentality that trend will soon reverse. Often it doesn't and it is always better to stick to the main trend.

10. London Opening Time (LO-LO Theory)

Followers know that I often draw an additional trendline on the H1 chart from previous day's London opening hour to current day's London opening hour (LO-LO) and then decide to trade bullish when candles are above this line or bearish when candles are below this line. Since this method is still in experimenting phase I will not share details about it yet, but I will announce them here once I have enough charts to back up my idea.

On a side note next week on Sunday London time switches back to normal: In the UK the clocks go forward 1 hour at 1am on the last Sunday in March, and back 1 hour at 2am on the last Sunday in October. The period when the clocks are 1 hour ahead is called British Summer Time (BST). There's more daylight in the evenings and less in the mornings (sometimes called Daylight Saving Time).

Yes. Based on your H1 chart we are waiting for a new RED TL breakout candle if you aren't long already. M15 traders might have jumped in long earlier. Therefore it would be wise to keep an eye on M15 and H1 together. But larger timeframe always comes first! Never forget that!

Ata, do You prefer to draw a magnetic lines on lines chart instead of candlestick chart?

I check both of them but I prefer trading based on candlestick chart results. Just wanted to show that the line chart also works well.

On a side note: this thread is not for discussions. Anything I share here has been surely already discovered by many others and the information provided here is not rocket science. But putting everything that works together and filtering out everything that is unnecessary so my followers can trade in a simplified fashion is my goal. I ask for no money and I never claim that I am a mastermind. I am a simple guy who makes use of his brains. I love to simplify and I love to share what works for me. That's all!

Unbelievably a fantastic eff-it anyway Ata, "thank you very much",

Inaccurate basis!
Just look at that Trend by Angle defines different levels readings if the Vertical Scale is changed !
In the case below, which one is it, 1.16479 or 1.16758 ???
...Big difference = Low accuracy !

Here's the solution. Freeze the Vertical Scale and use that setting as a base mark!

Go to Properties (F8 key) and check Scale fix One to One and Scale fix
Now the chart's Vertical Scale is "frozen" and the Trend by Angle will read the accurate unchanged level on Vertical Scale !
Mind though that level is different on every Time Frame! (I use only M15, because it provides the best balance on screen)
