No, you are right (and so was PASR..).

I'm probably a bit too hard on myself, after all 40 pips is 40 pips. I forget sometimes that non PASR traders still fight for a handful of pips on each trade..!

This pair is in an interesting moment I find


Big boss: Bullish since March 2018, the previous month was really bullish with a closure above the Strat shadow. The structure is HH HL hh HL which shows us that the buyers dominate this pair for several months, the price is currently in support of the Strat shadow.

Boss: Buyers have targeted the BNR 89,000 to then take the profits, swing high confirmed, the price is currently in support of the Strat shadow as for the Bigboss.

Worker: The price is currently in support of Strat shadow, and the 200 EMA, these support have already been tested in recent days (several times) so double bottom

Big Boss: Bearish since may 2017, but the last six months we really been bearish, the sellers were in control. This month is a doji that shows indecision on the market, sell or buy? the market is stuck into the BRN 0.93000 range and 0.91000

Worker: that's twice that the top of the WCC is tested and rejected. The price seems to want to return to its downward trend.

I have a bearish bias for this pair, but the problem is the R:R that is rather low because the supports are close in daily.
But if the price is in a strong downtrend resistances, the price will be like a knife through soft butter.
For now, I'm waiting for your review of the analysis

180/200 pips looks ok to me but I guess it depends on what time horizon you are on...

As far CADJPY it is continuing it’s Boss swing and currently at support again. I’m out of this one because I’ll end up stirring the little people up if I re-enter now after hashing my trade on it. If I was watching it I would be looking where the buyers were on the worker earlier in the week and watching how price reacts there. I’d probably have a plan to trade it on 4 hour / 1 hour / 15 min pulling back to that level and be out tomorrow UK pm but watch out for Friday profit taking. ...

Shooting star with BUEB confirmed, plus another BUEB. I did not really consider that shooting star another HL as it pretty much react to the same SR. (though it isn't wrong I think, just doesn't really affect my bias.) Until BB told otherwise, long trade only for CADJPY.

Agreed. It having confluences of static SR, Strat Shadow, 200ema and 61.8 fib. Waiting for a Bullish PA that stand up. Though if it is Bearish and break down, I think I'll pass until BB confirmed.

Here is my perspective.

BB - Bounced back and form a long tail candle(for now, not closed so it weighted less) from a SR, I am bias with long for now. The immediate trend in short. So no trade for me on this pair unless a very good confirm by the B to go long. (aka a confirmed swing low)

B - No confirmed swing low. So no trade on this pair no matter what coming next.

W - Agreed. On my perspective, I stay out because of how BB and B work. I agree with BeyondTheSea as for me, these WCC is better for lower TF.

A feeling that my BB view is not on point, I might looks back later.

This is a good go at it, but I think you mean hammer to go long, not shooting star. Notice the area on big boss price has reacted from, I notice you've marked it on boss. Seems to be a pretty significant area.

I think you and landax have the right idea. Good position to wait and see what price action shows.

I thought negotiate this pair on daily, but it is true that negotiate this pair on H4 might be interesting or at least to take a best entry as below the stratum shadow for example.
For CAD/JPY, negotiate the small time frame might be the best option, if the opportunity presents itself.

It is true that for AUD / CAD, our analysis is alike, the price seems to react to the increase this morning and for CAD/JPY, as said by BTS, negotiate the WCC on H4/H1/M15 can be a good option to have a good entry into the trend and limit risks

I am sorry but life got in the way yesterday I couldn’t get much computer time to give you a proper answer and your reply requires some serious thinking on my part and proper attention.

  2. H1 – 2 rejection candles into resistance
  3. M15 – lower high, trend line broken
  4. Target - H4 support
  5. Stop – trail it based on the waves created



Is this paper trading?
No, it is real money trading because paper trading takes many of the emotions away.

Were you aware you traded right before New York open?
Do you know what our No. 1 Rule is?
I am assuming these two questions are related and you are referring to the #1 on Strat’s mantra “We TRADE TO LIVE. We are NOT like others who LIVE TO TRADE” because I was impatient to take a trade without waiting for London or NY (in this case) to open. I will try to keep that in mind next time even if the trade seems “obvious”

Did you have a PLAN and if so, did you trade your PLAN and did your PLAN have a target?
My target was the H4 support around 85.700 which was reached about 12 hours ago from the moment of writing this but I didn’t keep the trade to reach this target because I am taking seriously the advice I am getting from you and the other fellow traders so I took profits at H1 support. Also, I figured the trade wasn’t placed following the rules properly so I decided to exit so I can enter another trade with the rules followed properly (or to the best of my abilities on following THE PATH)

I’ve already started to read your first thread any chance I get even on my phone and I’ll try to do less of that Nostradamus business (thinking and hoping)

GBPNZD M5 PASR Trend Trading

Also closed this a couple of minutes after EURNZD and missed taking profit on the exhaustion candle which, unlike its sister, did not make it back to the daily open.

This is one of those days where the Euro was leading GBP, normally, GBP leads the Euro

21/2 hours watching the one eyed monster, no matter how many pips, is NOT good for your health. This has left me well and truly tired and its only 10:10am and I have lots of things to do before day end. This being the case, I am going to do a ""Yomi"" and try M15.

Shooting star with BUEB confirmed I did not really consider that shooting star another HL though it isn't wrong I think

Either this is very careless or you really do not know the difference between our Shooting Star and Hammer!

Hi landax

Busy catching up on the posts and I see you have already had some good feedback on this pair.

Here is an extract from my trading journal on CadJpy:

 

  1. Big Boss trend up but price at resistance. Boss - immediate trend down after Shooting Star. Also confirmed Swing High. Worker - H, HL and confirmed Swing High on Strat Shadow. Found Support on 200 EMA and SR.
  2. Decision to go short probably premature. Trading into Boss Support and 200EMA. 4hour beyond 200 EMA but also resting on support. Let's see what happens…

These notes were made from my view of following the immediate trends on the high three time frames

What is interesting to me as well is that looking at the Big Boss the swings are shortening and congestion is increasing, good old fashioned coil pattern maybe??

The thing is, at big Big Boss level since end of 2016 price has been ranging sideways in a channel of just over 900 pips so there have been and are opportunities to do swing and even trend trading on the lower frames in this sideways channel. But that is looking at the history. The question is:

Bloody hell, lad, that's a big word for Friday morning!

First, what was your analysis to trade CADJPY short on M15?
Next, did you think you had a PASR Set Up and if so, what was it?

To me this looked like a good trade and it seemed obvious at that time:

 

  1. H4 - Trend down with bearish engulfing at resistance
  2. H1 – 2 rejection candles into resistance
  3. M15 – lower high, trend line broken
  4. Target - H4 support
  5. Stop – trail it based on the waves created

Very good as it worked out for you, but next time you may be caught selling into support so always consider where PRICE is relative to support and resistance. It is much better to take many 45 pips trades than keep getting hit with 30 pips stop losses.

Very good! Paper trading is far better than "demo" trading but there is no substitute for putting your hard earned money "on the line" so that you can "meet" your Little People

I have made several important posts on this but rather than keep repeating them, find them yourself AND, BE AWARE of the time you are trading relative to Session start times. As I posted earlier to others, be especially careful around New York Open (8am EDT) as we need to quickly identify if they (New York Big Boys) are going to continue the London trend or, trade against it.

While that is also very important, our No. 1 Rule is: CAPITAL PRESERVATION.

We accept we will incur losses during our trading but we need to keep them small and insignificant relative to our trading account - so that we can continue to trade.

Our PLAN is much more than a ""target"". Just setting a ""target"" without an irrevocable PLAN is what the rookie RANK AMATEUR traders do. There are many posts on my "old" original thread on what a PLAN is and what you should include in your PLAN so take note when you get to it.
