I find it interesting that the turn around at 97 or so was also the high from 2 days ago. a natural barrier. I also put a line at 85, which seemed important over the last 2 days.

Today I am getting a lesson in consistency ... another hit off a short from 6325 ... I looked at the setup Mr D took but left it on because of the nooks and crannies that looked just like my previous hit ... at my entry it would have been a +25 ... then 2 more setups that looked valid but I left it and it was good for +10 each ... if I took every setup that looked valid to me ... including the ones that bombed out ... I would be at +7 now ... I have time today so will practice some more and see where I end up.

Harold -apologies for imposing upon your NQ approach -but I am looking at NQ via a ten pip Range bar chart. Is ten Pips about the right size to trade NQ or would you think it should be smaller?

The chart is a ten pip Range bar.

i guess it depends on where your stop is and i also dont know your entry setup so trial and error i guess also if its not futures there will be an difference with pricing

I would check some days from a few weeks ago, because recently nq has had an increased range which hasnt been typical . . . . And note, if you go for 1 pip with nas, thats already 4ticks with futures.

Yeah tell me about it. I'm used to low volatility because of the Eur/Usd so just looking at NQ in its high volatility state was wild for me. It looks like it's calmed down now though.

Harold - I marked up your chart from today. First time copying someone’s chart, marking and posting it so I hope it arrives ok. Appreciate your help with these questions.
Why did you pass on the thrust bar short at swing A?
Why did you pass on the thrust bar short at swing B?
At C there is a long thrust bar heading up to your sell order. I’m confused, in your latest video I thought you canceled orders if there was a big thrust bar approaching an order?

Today turned into something different than usual ... I know consistency is important but when Nik mentioned it again it struck a chord ... I looked back and decided to turn today into an experiment as I was stopped out two times and missed a +25 early in the session.

I decided to keep on trading and to consistently try and take every good setup (clear HH or LL and then a pullback) and test the consistently theory for myself here and now ... AGAIN !!! The basic idea is that the market WILL react 80% of the time at a good S&D level and that reaction will give me either an odd loss or BE or profit ... the 20% it does not react is of cource a sure loss. That fact plus the 1:2 risk reward ratio puts in the odds in my favor.

When I decided to end I checked my ending balance (-24) and looked at all the trades I should have taken (3x +25) and ended at +51, then -16 for all the trades and ending in +35 for the day ... IF I had taken every good setup and just let go of the trade so the pre-programmed risk management can do its thing.

Anyway ... the bottom line is it is worth stopping my hesitation and micro management and just taking all the good setups and then letting them go ...

as to question A there was a 2b break i was looking to go long after i got my 25 i saw trend change with my trade from demand question B i had order in but missed by 1 tick and i canceled question C if candle is 1 candle coming at me like the example with question B this had 7 candles to get to fill

I know Harold doesn't like Wednesday's (out of habit mostly from his oil trading days), but with this method, they aren't bad at all.

Yep, the market respect decent S&D levels 80% of the time ... period.

Today I am just observing and building confidence ... busy drawing the S&D levels as they happen and just seeing how they bounce time and again ... never 100% but for sure 80% of the time ... so taking every setup where it bounces off a decent S&D level with a 1:2 risk reward ratio and tight risk management is just amazing ... will post my chart later ... the only question really seems to be if it is a decent S&D level and if it is ... take the risk! The trend and 2B and 123 just flows with the levels.

Yesterday was calm but today was wild again. When there is quite a bit 10 point bars i'd just wait it out.
