And if futures are not down a lot premarket (<50), the following should be good for some money:

DIA Oct19 257 CALL @ $1.74 or better

FFIV Oct19 170 CALL @ $1.55 or better

SPGI Oct19 190 CALL @ $0.50 or better

Since all the greeks reset over the weekend, if DIA hits $4 or more, time to exit the trade. If DIA gaps, no trade, as that usually spikes the ask price too much.

Nice ones money. We get into the bank stocks ER's next week to start into Q3 earnings season. Stocks will prolly do what they have been doing in earnings weeks for the most part - go up - most likely what's in store so long as there are no more scares from credit market...

DIA Oct19 256 CALL at $1.60 before the close.

Should make some money with that next week. Since DIA is the spider for the DJIA, I like to get in and get out while it's moving, otherwise the spreads flatten out when volatility goes away and does so a lot faster than a stock, so I'll probably get out Monday unless it closes near the high of the day.

I am using a list of US stocks that I got from optionscanner. Aparently they are the most liquid according to them, but I think that I am missing some good stocks. Have you got a list with all the stocks that you think is worthy to trade options without having huge spreads and trouble to close them. ?

no I don't have such a list. You can easily see what is liquid by just opening the chains. I rarely trade anything that has typical volume under 1k contracts per day.

TF, do you ever trade any of the volatility options, like VIX or VXN? I think there is one for Brazil, but I don't remember what it is. I know there is for China. Odd little animals, they have a Wednesday settlement instead of Friday trading, and exist on way more things than you would think.

I always thought it interesting you could make money buying and selling the right (but not obligation) to buy or sell something that doesn't actually exist as a tangible entity......

VIX will be back down around 14 by the end of the month, for sure.

I've been checking on calendar strategies for sometime and I still not like it. The good thing is the low margin but get them right it seems difficult. I have right now open and SOLD naked

BABA Jan 190 CALL
FSLR JAN 60CALL
DECK DEC21 130CALL
CVS DEC21 82.5CALL
EXPE DEC21 140 CALL
I am playing on this with with the expectation that the trend will continued south and the volatility turn also down.

Relax, those should make you some money. Keep an eye on CVS, as it's due to pop up shortly, and if it has enough momentum, it may try to close that gap at $79. Just remember you can always buy to close to lock in profits. May not be the full expiration profits, but a profit is a profit!

My plan is to let them settle for 1 or 2 weeks , expecting for the IV to drop a little at least. Then I'll reassess the situation. At the moment BABA and CVS are the best but the should get better if the IV drops. DECKS still IV going Up so is the worst, EXP are in negative but nothing terrible with IV droping a little, and finally FSLR with IV heading south and also in negative few dollars.

Buying CALL and PUT is always a temptation but for that you need to be sure where is heading the stock and also get OP with low IV to make the business works. I prefer selling naked, less profit but more room to manouver.

DIA Oct19 256 CALL up to $2.25 from $1.60

Probably has some more upside to it tomorrow towards $258, but DIA is a skittish thing with Bid/Ask, so like I said, I like to get in and get out while it's moving.

day late dollar short on $279 long calls - something I have come to realize is Mondays are a tough call to get any movement, always exceptions but I should shoot for midweek to catch general market swings...
