Weekly Pivot trading with TDI

I would hold on to those XAU longs...they just might pay off. My opinion only...I know you know how to manage your trades.

Just closed 2 more UJ shorts. Closed yesterday 2 EA shorts before they turned north. One EU hit tp holding 1 entry. Long on NU, NC and AC. Looking at Gold to head towards 1200's but not trading it...just my analysis.

I'm holding them The old saying sell in May and go away never held true this year as the markets slowly clawed up and up all summer long and into the early fall. October has a nasty reputation. I told a few people and they ignored what I had to say and today the markets have fallen back to January levels. Not that I'm complaining though. Leverage can be a beautiful thing when you're on the right side of it. Like my NQ trade that I entered 2 days ago. Triple digit percentage on margin returns today. And the lamb lies down on Wall Street.

Why not ditch the ridiculous software avoid getting stopped out before profit and learn to do it yourself. Combine that with the fundamentals the market is actually focused on at any given moment in time and just imagine what a better trader you all will become.

So , market crushed. And everyone disappeared from here . What happened??? Where is all yours 1000 pips in profit? Where is all your “ charts”. I am pretty sure at leas 90% of all “ participants “ right now pulling hairs out with questions “ why??” What happened?
1 ANSWER!!!!! - MONEY MANAGEMENT! Shit happens people. No one knows when that shit is happening but it happens. Best way to deal with it is always MONEY MANAGEMENT. So for those who end up with big loss today, “suck it up!” Regroup and start over. Everything is fine with Davits system! So let’s get back to work, it’s NOT OVER TILL ITS OVER! FYI I've been using my own eyes trading for 30 + years now. I use Pivot Point trading for Forex, I'm not a software junkie, however I do use some software. Some of my trading is done by Bots but only on programs that I have written, so it's no different than me taking the trade. The software does exactly what I told it to do. Sometimes I see a potential trade setting up before I go to bed so I'll turn the bot on for the London session and let it work for me while I'm sleeping. I'm giving this particular software a trial run to see how the Harmonic patterns are confirming with pivot points. It scans lots of pairs in different time frames and alerts me to potential setups. I'm not sure why your negative acidic comments are required, however I guess this is the nature of FF and why good traders breeze through here and leave.

Romanov, where did you get the software that produces a Quadralateral? I like it.

I was getting ready to go heavy on some gbp pair but not anymore, I was unaware of the brexit dates until I read it here.

If you have been trading 30 yrs you should know better! Unless of course there is a commercial agenda! Oh wait there it is! Post a ridiculous chart with software and hope people start asking you questions about it. Oh its a free trial! Why even mention it? why not just show the chart and what your watching? hmmmmm whatever dog!! I really dont care like I said its just another reason why I avoid other threads.

Im watching EA at the moment - bouncing off resistance level on the 4H chart multiple times - historic long term highest level price on the weekly chart too.
I can not work out why the EUR is so high against the AUD right now - Australia has good fundamentals compared with EU- the price is way above fair value...
If and when it starts to sink, i think there is scope for a significant move here...

First target will be the WPP - not to exit, but to load more, then again at s38 and keep going down all the way thru next week

I agree with most of what you mentioned except I cannot agree that the answer is money management.

Trading begins with self... It is the single most important piece of the puzzle and yet it is the most under looked, hardly mentioned and ignored part of trading. Not just 90% of traders but humans choose to look at anything outside themselves as either the problem, the solution or even both. But fail to look at self first.

Plan of action suggested:
First, work on yourself. Develop habits in life that improve you. This life operates on certain principles and one thing is for sure...More money will only make you more of who you are now. So think and make an honest assessment...would you hand yourself, as you are now, more money? Or are you one of those that think once you get the money you will change, life will change, then and only then everything will change. If you cannot be trusted with a little, how can you be trusted with more.

Second, now and only now we get into trading. The market does whatever it does...whether its manipulated, random, unfair, rigged none of that matters, if you think any of these things, then use it to your advantage rather than focusing on it and creating for yourself yet another excuse. There are ways to ride the back of the market and earn from it. But in order to do that one must do WHATEVER it takes to make it happen. Eliminate the non-essentials and focus on the essentials of trading. Remember, you will follow what you focus on.

Third, you find something...anything...that gives you an edge to make it happen. You find a mentor, or trader or someone other than yourself to learn, follow and REPLICATE. Key word replicate. I hate authority, but I have learned that if I don't know something and want to be great at it...I follow someone who is a master of it and "become him." So if that person says these are the pairs I trade, these are the ones I do not, and this I do and this I don't...guess what...that is what I do. If the reason for it is explained and it is profitable then I don't question them. I see the results that I want for myself so I do exactly what he says. PERIOD. As long as it proves to give me the same results, I leave it as is...I don't go reinventing it, demanding proofs, or arguing why I must trades pairs he doesn't. I came looking and I received; therefore, I remain in a state of gratitude.

Fourth, invest in life! Invest in yourself!! Spend time reading books, studying charts, studying your mentor. Make every moment in front of the charts a lesson, whether trading or just staring. Think how long it takes to be a Doctor...invest that long on yourself. It is a pain, and it is not a quick fix but it will be well worth it. Learn to master one thing in trading (and in life). Become great at it. In fact, you only need to be a great at just one thing in order to be a successful trader, but it requires patience. Patience because we want the action in trading...constantly opening trades...starring at the charts to see when I can hit that button...over analyzing...running from one forum to the next...looking at 15 charts at once...2 tabs for news, 2 for blogs, facebook, twitter, Telegram, FF, Google and all kinds of crap... When in reality, the best way to trade is a slow, systematic and mechanical way. It is called...

Fifth, Trading Plan. yes trading plan. Folks want to trade full time but don't want to treat it like a business. If you treat it like a hobby, you will get paid like a hobby. It is a business...better yet...it is your business. Every business has a plan...if not you will be moved by any wind that comes your way. EA looks good at R38...bamm you go trade EA... I'm mister red diamond and I say GA is making a double top and is over extended plus I see fib extension...yeah I am in this trade...you run add GA to your market list cause you never ever looked at it before and bamm...trade done. No analyzing...no R:R nothing you just went with the wind...no plan of action. It is your business...seriously how many businesses out there listen to their competition or just anyone to make businesses decisions...not just business but financial decisions. Take your business serious. Plan your trades, develop a doable, repeatable and REPLICATEABLE Trading Plan. A step by step plan of attack that even before you open a chart you are following. And every move you make or don't make for that matter, is listed and repeated every single time.

This is just a simple and not exhaustive list by no means. I truly hope that it is one that will help at least one person here. There are many successful methods, but if you are here then give this one a chance...I started 2 years ago it has worked before me and has worked for me since. When it didn't...it was one of two reasons.
1. The market showed me who is boss or
2. I did not follow the plan.

You can't just swing by here and take signals and go with the flow and make it as a trader. You can't cheat the grind... it knows who has worked hard for it.

Teach yourself to trade and trading will treat you well.
