I see you like scalping but the pips your trying to take advantage of should be done on limited spread based pairs which reflects little or no draw down which means that even 2 pips is profit for you. I wish you the best with your trading...use proper money management and trade your plan and nothing else.

Yes i have comed down now and where looking at gbp/usd and watched for ours how it behaved and i have come too conclusion that i am only going too trade 1 spectacular signal and insidebar breakeout either when ranging ore trending with trend i am still going too use tight stops at 2 pips not risking more thatn 2-3% pr trade i am also going too not close trades under 3 pips and set target at 25 pips even i have never had a trade goo past 15 pips soo i will trail my stop agressivly after 5 pips i out stop at 3 pips after 10 pips i set it at 7 after 15 too 12 and soo on if i had done that on my trades that went bust for me i would have a good profit now...I am retired 44 years and getting 2300 eouro a month and i sell magazines taxfree on the side soo i am going too doo small deposits along the way as well as trying too recover 800 dollar loss from september before Oktober is finnished i also use high leverage doo yoo my tight stops and i have looked back on trades of insidebar breake outs and many of them goes 10-15-25 pips with cons.Candles soo i can trail stop at close of candle when next have gone a bit....The biggest change is that now my winning trades will be from 1.5:1 R:R too 12.5:1 R:R soo i dont really need a high winrate if i could make 40-50% wins i will have greate profit...Myminimum for 1 day 10 pips and maximum 50 pips i will stop....I am taking a few trdes today as well as a small deposit...Sii difference from before and that i am now going too profit...LOL...Is that i will aim for much more pips than before pr trade.....I just closed a trade beacause i had too goo too toilet that traveled 15 more pips in the time til i got back...Should have letting it run...LOL

Done for the week/weekend last trade i took got out at 3 pips have now traveled 10 pips more i am soo tired of getting out too early,but when i stay in the trade it turnes around soo sometimes i just bank some profit even if small ,but if i am too make 2-300% in Oktober too take back what i have lost i have too take some more risk.....My dream is too have my pension and make mayby 1500-2000 on the side by trading soo i can quit the magazinesale,but as of now i need too sell even more magazines too deposit money everyday becuse i loose it due too bad judgement on my behalf....My signals are good,my system is good,I am not good i have disipline issues Have a good one..

Now too my EA`s this EA is the one i have biggest hope for it went up 13% and today it took a hedge loss at 84 lots at 15 pips that is the sl for the hedges its a grid ea/matringale with a hedge funcion soo now and then there will be some losses on thoose,but its better than blowing account when come too level 8 ore 9 a hdge is opened togheter with the grid canselling each other out soo it went up 13% and fell down too 2 as is now because when i started the EA i somehow opened 2 150 lots possisions and had too close thoose out with a loss so i started at 93000 it will be intresing too see if it can recover...Soo over too the next one...

This is the expencive grid EA that coder say cant fail its very proffiteble and takes profit on small pullbacks making it survive long trends only need 20-25 pips pullback too make profit and close basket.....It have made 150 dollars of a 1000 dollar cent account in a week and that starting small on the lotsize...Impressive...But too expencive 697 dollars...

This EA i have running too of its a scalping grid/martingale EA absolutly the safest one running here on a 1000 dollar account running on 5 pairs...Also not a cent account a standard...Drawdown for one week 22% thats liveble over 35% is too high for grids up 8.15% its not bad it takes profit very fast too get out on small pullbacks sometimes get out even with a loss opens possisions in both directions trading both ways very safely This is the best canditate for my live account coming Oktober 20TH i have it also running in a 100000 cent account up next....

This account 4 same EA as last post is having a loosing day for some reason like i said on last post this EA takes small profits bth ways i am impressed of the small moves it needs too get out with a little profit if the trend is too big it gets out with a small loss instead of blowing account...Almost like it has a brain...LOL but i have sat lotsize way too small to make profit of a 1000 cent account i had another EA on this account,but i scrapped it was noo good soo it started at 98500 so it has made 17 dollars in a week ore 1.7% next week i will set lotsize 5 times what it is now too see if it can make some desent profit....Will come back at the end of next week with results....Drawdown only 4% that is nice... for a grid..

I closed the first EA too set it up with new settings using the hedge from level 3 instead of 8 soo that it trades both ways and see if that can make a better profit the hedges have a stoploss at 15 pips and a trailing stop at 12 pips soo when i hedge is in 12 pips profit it locks the profit in trailing stoploss soo on big moves with many levels you get many wins both ways the only drawback is if it stays in a 10-15 pips range and stops out the hedge then reopens it and stops it out again,but i dont recon that happens too often....With hedge from level 3 its no danger blowing the account atleast...

Inside bars can be profitable if approached the right way Yes- systematic, if a 10 year old can't understand what you Do, it's too complicated though. I think in my past research they would show up during high expectations, now what you need is a scanner, good broker ecn or stp, you should not use a market maker for this type of trading, even your chosen broker can determine if you are profitable or not.

For argument sake let's say one of your rules are for every bearish inside bar that forms at the top of a previous bar will only look for selling opportunities, and those that form at the bottom as bullish inside bars will only be looking for long opportunities.
Then you would need to track all buy opportunities to see how they reacted versus the selling ones, then those that made losses, what recovery methods would be ideal to recover the possible losses when they come to visit as returning resident, it's best to welcome them with a plan.

I use to trade those breakouts as my first strategy and its great on ecn and stp as for the marketmaker that's a different story I won't tell. I use to get on average 50 pips, some would run to 100 plus depending on trade management and needed target.

These inside bars were best taken from h1 to weekly personally, as they get higher in terms of timeframe the duration for completion also mirrored the time, however the reward was sweet.
Those who do m15 to h1 breakouts of ranges are actually trading inside bars of a higher timeframe...
Be the inside bar King, focus on this alone and nothing else and you will be surprised for your results, let's see how you will do in these next three months. Try not to have to redeposit too often unless you have a growth plan to increase the account to a certain level.

5:1 is not bad at all but how often does it come and do you get all inside bars to capture a good mix of trades.
Look on the example in the picture:

  1. the first trade was a bearish harami (not sure if your wick size is important) we go a bearish move,
  2. next we had another setup however the pattern was not an ideal picture perfect setup...
  3. This third one was a bullish setup and what did we get a bullish move.

These straight forward reactions may not always happen though, if it is systematic, you could have an e.a. which I have posted in another thread with a few pictures. If you could follow up on this strategy in order to have it as a scanner for all timeframes then this would be worth your efforts. Soon you will be smiling at the stand collecting for your magazines without a care in the world about your trades... vps takes over.

I agree with the method, what would be good is for you to share your method or chart and I review it, to see if I see the same thing, if I don't it's not systematic...
You should not do this manually... being that this is part time.

That coder trades through sales... nice selling. Let's see how it will do in another 3 to 6 months.

Most times good ideas sometimes don't go far like this one.

You have a lot of homework: reading... reading since I am bored with mine, I will also tackle this method...Roger had food results with this same method @ "inside bar magnet"... drop the focus on inside bar for the rest of the year and it will pay off...think of investing in a good vps that will allow you to have at least 3 mt4s to test only inside bar E.A.s.
I wish I had someone to keep me focused when I first started. The only difference I got good exposure from one person and did not know until 2 years after. I met a lot more influencial persons all over the world who kept saying stick to one strategy until you master it and focus on the risk. Have a contingency plan also. Read all the threads on inside bars and test the robots and indicators until you have a good collection.

I have a ECN account with my broker with only 2 dollars pr lot commision and 0.1 spread on majors cheaper than that doesnt exist...Soo i only need a small move too make a profit but i am aiming for minimum 5 pips pr trade making R:R 2.5:1....Thanks for input...

I only work for 2 ours a week soo i have the possibility too trade almost full time exept a oupple of ours in London open and at thoose times its high volatility soo dont mind sitting out at thoose times...

Did only a few trades today took a 10 pip loss moved the stop"Rules???" i have moved the SL too 4 pips too give it a little room because if there have been any big moves the difference between pips are smaller more pips for lesser move,But i recovered nicely with a little profit on the same pair....but even moved stop i will close out trades as once as goes against me will be more loosers than winners,but i will stay in the winners longer than before when i took 1-3 pips at most....I am not saying i will not take any 1 pips because i will i am moving stop too BE+1 as soon as possible and then next step is BE+3 and BE+5 then at open on next candle longer than 10 pips i will trail agressivly...So tomorrow i will sit before screens atleast 6 ours and only only take best signals soo there will not be very many trades 10-20 mayby...See you tomorrow...Keep it green...

No good insidebar setups today traded a coupple of reversals got out with 1-3 pips small profits"My old system mayby starting too work again"Been in front of screen for 3 ours soo i am holding now until second session....Looking for insidebars a lot fewer on the 3 min compared too 1 minute they come all the time,but are way more unstable trades on the 3 min....Winrate is very good on the good insidebar setups.....If not any i will try some reversals i am getting out of loosers at 0.5-1.5 pips hopefully soo i recond there will only bee a coupple of trades until my stoploss is hit i have changed that too 2 losses because of the tight stops...Most of my EA`S are doing greate i have one running up 5.9% and 3.7% drawdown in two days,but i dont recond it will stay like that for a month thats my test time i now have 6 different ones running only one negative all the others in profit...

Not bad at all i broke a coupple of rules,I wish i could have done it without that,but still now i have recovered 1/8 of what i lost last month,just keep it going without messing up totally like i use too doo its very importent too keep consistent small profits everyday too follow the rules soo i avoid big losses if i follow the rules i never risk more than 4% pr trade my psyckological stoploss is much less,but at a spike its 4 pips and i all the time risk/gain 1% pr pip like now 450 account i set lots at 0.45 if i had 550 i set it at 0.55 that way i always risk 1% pr pip I only trade EUR/USD and USD/JPY because i have 5 other mt4`s running EA`s my ccomputer is a bit overvelmed even i have 16 gb memory and i big computer it still freezes if more charts open,but thoose two are enough....See you tomorrow...Keep it green..

Didnt have time too doo much trading today,but i got in 5 small winners trading my old system and only take reversals with confluence and with trend....Looks like its working when i only take the best setups,but that takes a little pation waiting for thoose and only two pairs too trade its not like signals are pailing up...See you tomorrow...Keep it green..

Only done 2 trades today soo far i am tired soo i will go for a nap....And try some trading in second session after London close 8 wins in a row soo when i point that out i guess the next will be a loss....LOL i restarted my EA`S today doo too some setting changes and made the demo accounts at the same liquidity that i can afford when i goo live and i scrapped 2 soo i now have 2 very good ones and 1 good one and one that makes very little profit,but very safe,but my best ones are also safe i have a screenshot of one of the first two there was this huge move on GBP/AUD and EUR/AUD on 300+ pips bulish and it took my EA too 30% drawdown before turning and getting out with profit soo i changed pips beetween levels from 24 too 35 its not a crazy martingale EA its a scalper and when trends and other tings confirming that it will turn in not soo far away of course it can have it wrong,but that is why its conservative in its lotsizing taking 3-5 levels at same lotsize before multiplying with 1.5 taking 3-5 levels on that and not in need of too big pullbacks too get out with profit it has a very nice winrate and green pips if it where pure martingale pips would have been negative "Sreenshot after 4 days posted of a 1000 dollar cent account with 100000 units...I have now changed that too 450 dollars because that is what i am starting with at the end of month....The other good EA i have has extremly low drawdown and pretty nice equity curve also its my first day with that one soo i will post my fxbook on all of them tomorrow...And i will try a trade in second session if start with loss i am out for the day...It where down too 20% drawdown ore soo when i opened new acccount and made changes too setings,but where going the right way,biggest reason was changing from 100000 units too 45000 what i am depositing at the end of month and i have no idea of witch one that i am going with yet....Time will tell....Also thinking abaut opening a new tread if i can stay in profit trew next week i will open a new journal following my manual trades as well as my EA`S because the name of this journal isnt right at the moment have not any plans too quit now....See you later...

The volitility is way too slow today i think i read somewhere its bankholiday somewhere mayby thats why its soo slow and tomorrow is NFP soo i will try and pull out a coupple of trades before that i will stay out after atleast until after London close and on Monday i will go all in trying too pull out atleast 20 trades a day next week hoping for somewhere beetween 50 and 100 pips account one week old today and 41 pips and i have been extremly careful taking absolute minimum of trades skipped a lot of good setups waiting for better ones.....See you tomorrow...
