Disliked{quote} Hi Suranga, Just a little confused for me, what is the difference demo trading & paper trading? Could you please give me a more detail description? Thank you advice. Sorry my english.Ignored
Hi bluedormouse,
Very sorry for very very late reply. I couldn't log in to the forum these days because I have been sick for couple of weeks. Now I am back to normal.
However I see you got the reply from Eurotrader. Some might argue demo trading is also paper trading . But according to our class teacher ..it is different. Because Demo accounts are highly MANIPULATED and comes with many problems, as you could see from my last posts. Also somewhere in 2010, I had normal FX account with a popular broker who vent bust with Black Swan in 2015. When I demo trade those days , the spread they shown me was very low. But when I open a Live account the spread was more than double what they showed while demo. That's why Strat advises against demo trading. And that makes sense.
Basically how I do paper trading is open up a chart (now Live chart) and use F12. that will help you to go through the charts candle by candle. If you keep pressing F12 long , the charts will quickly update. With this you can see the PRICE behavior at Moving Hard Right Edge. In paper trading your little people might not get involve much. So its just to test the understanding of a particular strategy. I use it to test and feel PRICE behavior around S/R levels and Strat Shadow. its really good when you get used to it. Feels like playing a video game.
Further you should read how Strat and others traded before the computers introduced to the Markets. I cannot remember where it is . Just do a simple search.
P.S. Using a simulator is also called paper trading
