Good advice! Without fundamental knowledge, it’s really tough to stay here for a long time! I open my new trade positions based on my fundamental analysis, but I also use technical analysis to filter out my entry quality!

Yes, I agree with you! Learning is a long time process! Generally, it’s not possible to make a good trading skill by using 2-3 months demo! But, a number of new traders try to learn too early!

I see the post is from 2006. Hope you are now doing great. This is for the newbie who wants to invest bigger amount. Don't invest big money unless you have proven your worth. Find a strategy that works for you. Make consistent profit for at least one year. Only then you can invest big amount.

I remember starting to trade in forex. It was reallly long ago and I had noone to ask for recommendations. i could only use forums to communicate wiht more experienced people. Forum is therefore the best support for me, here you can find answers to all the questions.

It takes time and patience, you have to spend time learning it. I'd suggest like the others: Do mock trading until you get your legs under you.

Indeed, learning the forex game requires time and dedication. But for god sake, I would never pay big money for tutorials and courses, especially when there are plenty of good books and webinars completely for free.
I hope FXBPR1 has become more successful nowadays

You must be very cheerful person. And I'm glad that you got good wife. However, before trusting anyone or any methods to make a profitable, I want you to research about them first. Blindly follow them is the big mess, but you are gaining experience here which all the newbies needed to hear. Keep with you risk management, its absence is the absent of your money. And lower your leverage, for beginner. Best and free courses are available in Babypips, ForexPeaceArmy as well. Best learning method and communication with experts is any forums where restriction is high like ForexFactory. Otherwise, you'll be lost again in social media.

My advice to you dont see all that has happened to you a misfortune but rather to serve as an eye opener to study and learn more...thats what life is all about learning from mistakes and making sure we dont repeat them...

I suggest that you start out on learning everything you can about price action first and learn about indicators later. Become an expert on PA and that is the foundation for successful trading.
