I'm not sure what you guys don't see about this.

Yes, there is no discretion in the method itself. We agree that the method is taking a trade after a 123, trigger and retrace.

The discretion comes in the build up. There are 123, trigger pullbacks absolutely everywhere, but if you don't get the trend right, they will often just be an abc pullback and usually fail.

The point is, the discretion on taking the first one i highlighted on the chart, was because it formed off of a prior channel line touch. The one at the top, short, again was a descending channel line touch suggesting that the trend was about to change again.

The later 123, trigger retrace, happened both with PA looking to roll over in a semi-circle and also happening at a prior Supply zone.

The earlier chart was taking the 123, trigger, retrace because it formed out of a prior Demand zone, followed by the fact that the next pullback also coincided with a channel line touch. Thus it is discretion, that creates the set-up in the first place.

If discretion was not the difference between success and failure, you could have the opinion that EA's work. A completely mechanical method and everyone should know that there is absolutely no EA that can automatically take trades for you and win.

yes CG we understand the setups concur with trendline and s/d all i was saying is its not discretion you take them mechanically

Not totally sure about this as each broker packages sierra differently. However if you load up the study collection provided and see green/red candles then all is well.

Hopefully these candles will help newer traders by eliminating the need to decide what is and isn't a S/D zone. My testing has been very positive applying your simple rules with the additional rule of a green/red candle at the bottom/top of the "trend".

I think I'm part of the slow class.....;-). followed the instructions, but something crossed because I was not able to find the file once I opened the analysis tab in sierra. I'll try again tomorrow morning.

A 123 pattern is where we make a HH HL HH HL but not a HH once last HL Is taken out trend has changed
