GBPUSD technical and fundamental analysis

The British pound did not find a direction against the US dollar on Thursday. The currency pair opened at 1.3203, closing unchanged. The pound did not find a direction throughout the day, as we would expect the pair to test the next level of support at 1.3135. Otherwise, breaking the resistance at 1.3300, we would expect the upward movement to resume.

The pound recorded a volatile session against the dollar on Monday. After all, the opening price was close to the closing price of 1.3227 and 1.3234, respectively. Initially, bullish moods dominated, and as a result, the resistance at 1.3285 was broken after the pair recorded a peak at 1.3292. Subsequently, the Pound lost the lead.

The British pound was up against the US dollar on Friday. By the close of US trading, GBP / USD was trading at 1.2751, adding 0.28%. I believe that support is now at the level of 1.2662, the minimum of Wednesday, and the resistance is likely to come in at 1.2827, the maximum of Tuesday.

Pound/dollar is trying to test 1.30, as it seems.

Despite the correction today, I still wait for 1.3000.

1.30 would do for me.

Hello Everyone! Thanks for posting this Discussion. I am trying not to use indicators + I am using % movement calculation to make my trading decisions. My 1st Target to close 50% of my positions 1.3300 and 2nd Exit 1.37 than I'll start re shorting from the highs again. This is how I make a trading decision as an example: Market is 1.29 and support is 1.18, this is 1100 pips and I can afford floating loss of 5% so I keep buying the lows in a way when market goes up, I make money no matter what. I hope its clear.

The cable made an attempt to test 1.30 yesterday, but better than expected NFP limited its growth.

The British pound was down against the US dollar on Friday. By the close of US trading, GBP / USD was trading at 1.2916, losing 0.10%. I believe that support is now at around 1.2785, the minimum of Wednesday, and the resistance is likely at 1.3028, the high of Friday's trading.

GBP/USD: I'm opening a short position with target: 1.2950, SL: 1.3020.

Unfortunately, my SL has triggered. Waiting for better levels to open a short position.

So it bounced up from the above mentioned area. The next best is 1.3170.

My expectations for GBP/USD are up for testing 1.3215/50.
