I have been using a stop loss of 20 pips and a tp of half at 20 pips and the remainder at 30 or 40 pips, moving my stop loss up to break even as quickly as I can.
With the recent spikes either from news or from support/resistance areas, I am testing a 20 or 30 pip entry from the 3rd candles high this week on the 4 hour chart. I am also continuing to look at lower time frames for entry too.

I hadn't considered the daily candle as a SL and will also investigate this too, thank you for your suggestion.
Forgot to mention that I am also investigating entering on the pullback to the line on the 4H chart.

I am keen to keep things as simple as possible and look forward to hearing more about your dashboard as I have tried to find something similar without much success.
There are plenty of dashboards on the internet but none with a simple is it a red or blue candle formula.

here my result of today. Because I had to leave the office I canceled some trades (see closed orders without "TP" in comment column).
I built a quick and dirty indicator to draw the recommended lines in H4 chart. Nevertheless, it is not easy to place the orders quickly and promptly. Therefore the next step must be an EA.

TP and SL are extremely important. I never trade without which. During this first test I use a TP of 10 and a SL of High / Low from [1] / [2].
I think there are some ways to optimize these values. That's why I'm not involved with CRV yet. Let's talk about adjusted values after about 100 trades :-)
