as a news trader, it is more important to get a good price from broker at news release period. the commission will be second priority.

[25Aug2018] EHS_V43EXT1K_HM and EHS_V43EXT1K_HML were released. Here are some new features:

1) Add in news filtering feature based on the impact level. HM version will only trade High and Medium impact news based FF definition. HML version will trade all the news events provided from news server. Trader can download the right version based on their preference.

2) The Stop order close sequence and Stop Lose setting was optimized to avoid the actual order left on the market without protection from opposite stop order and/or stop lose.

Hello teammaker i have just started trading the news and would really like too use a TP on the buystop/sellstop and a SL as thight as possible i did trade news a while ago and there where only NFP that required a sl because it usually goes a coupple of pips in one direction and then shoots 15-20 pips ore more the other way so you sit back with a small loss and a good gain on the other trade....Do you have any data on different news how much can be expected in pips so you can set TP accordingly sl i have at 2-3 pips but for some news mayby TP at 5 pips and some 10 and 15 would be really nice too have results for a year ore two so TP got hit on most trades like Wednesdays Prelim GDP Price Index q/q and Prelim GDP q/q at 13.30 GMT and OIL crude inventories at 15.30 i cant see there are any high impact news before that...What can be expected at thoose two events...

And as i can see your winrate on your Tradexplorers are at 50 and 57% do you trade all news because when i traded the high impact news i rearly had a loss but that was two years ago i am now going too trade both my system and news combined but would really like some data on how much too expect from different high impact events...

Hi Magen999, let me address your two questions in this one reply:

1. TP/SL setting: at my current design, i have pre-set 10pips as stop lose for the STOP order being triggered. The TP logic is based on the profit trailing calculation and the TP profit level is around 10 pipe too with 60% threshold to close the order. If you need more customization on those TP and SL setting, we have to discuss offline.

2. News Event Filtering: I start to provide two version , one to trade all selected news and another to trade H and M news only. Based on the feedback from other traders, looks like trading H and M impact news will provide better return. But the downside is there is less H/M news you can trade in every week and whole trading experience became little boring.

You can decide your trading style and pick the right EA.

I am trading them manually i know this tread is for the EA but never the less its the same ting i the stoploss as tight as possible what is the point og graving it at ten pips if there are more than one event at the time like NFP i think there are 4 at same time resulting in the trade goes one way trigger the stop order one way and then turn and goes 20-30 pips the other way and with a stoploss on 2-3 pips that loss will be small and 15 pips Target hit the other way if you understand what i mean...And i traded news for 2 months only red events 3-4 trades a week with 90%winrate...And instead of trading medium and low impact use bigger lotsize on red events and stay away from medium low impact news Even if its boring there Are $$$$$$$ you are after isnt it....When i trade news i go in with 2-3 Lots on a 1000 dollar account and make sure Target is 5-10 pips so i am sure it get hit....Just someting too think abaut NFP i use 15 pips...Try and learn another strategie too trade and use news only too make $$$$$$$....

Because your EA set a buy stop a coupple of pips over price and a sellstop a coupple of pips under price a coupple of minutes before news with SL and TP it is that way your EA does it??That is the way i trade news atleast...

your understanding is correct. buy stop and sell stop will be released to the market 5 mins before the target news event with 10 pipe distance to the market price.

Isnt 10 pips much i set it at 3-4 pips and regulated it as price goes up/down...Do you catch small moves with 10 pip distance too price....I am not trading any news until 13.30 gmt and then crude oil at 15.30 wednesday....

hi trader, i found there is an error of today's news event data. please try to reboot your MT4 client to get latest update. or you will miss M/L trading event later and updated news events will be loaded one day later per schedule.

In the last CAD GDP m/m news. Standard News Trader with one entry win 8 pipe in demo account. But Super News Trader is more powerful. First entry win 5 pips, and second entry win 18 pipe at LIVE account (XM.COM).

In the earlier AUD Private Capital Expenditure q/q new. Standard version win 6 pipes. Super Trader with two investments and win 14 pipes in LIVE account.

I got 9.1 pips with the standard one on usdcad.

The second entry is at different direction from first one. and 9.1 pipe is a good result. May i know which broker you are using ?

August results on live account [not using the 43 version to keep things consistent]: 7 winners, 7 losers. Minus 7 pips for the month.
Average losers :11 pips. Average winners 10 pips.

No. The version 43 including the H, M, L was not available during the entire month of August. These results are with the version 31.
