looks pretty good light. seems like everything is working good. thanks for your interest and work. i am sure everyone will be using this indicator now.

This thread sounds very interesting with some great people trying to improve on the Mouteki. Can someone please give me a summary of this method? I have found that sometimes reading through all the posts confuses me more than just getting the basic premise and testing it from there.

I found out the problem with the way mouteki indicator draws lines. It doesn't wait for two candles on either side of the bar. Demark does.

That's cool. BUT the mouteki indicator version with timebar (the most recent version that has been posted) had an email alert in it already, thanks to the original programmer.

I've only changed it to stop it from deleting all other objects (eg your own trendlines or fibo lines etc) when you change timeframes

Speaking of the original programmer.....

if you're reading this, thank you for writing this script and I hope you don't have a problem with me messing around with this AWESOME indicator a bit just to make it a little bit more user friendly. MQ4 is a difficult API to work with, partically due to lack of adquate documentation out there and this is an indicator that kicks butt

It has been pointed out that the Demark indicator draws trendlines more in accordance with the Demark principle and with the mouteki rules than does the mouteki indicator. The differences are subtle but can be important at times.

I've added email alerts and alerts to the Demark indicator but then someone pointed out that it gives signals at the wrong times (sometimes).

I'm currently working on a fix for that. I won't get techincal here about how I'm going about it. But the fix is well under way, in fact it's done and it's being tested now.

I won't release it publicly until it's been tested thoroughly (probably Wednesday). I'll post a new thread in the forum just to notify everyone that it's available.

Eventually I'm going to also add to it a stoploss line and a take-profit line.

And I remind everyone, indicators are a cool tool to work with but nothing should be used blindly without watching the market for yourself or at least checking that an indicator signal conforms with the rules of the method.

Guys, i have been using the indicator posted in this forum, and i found it great... but there is one thing i will like to ask:

The indicator has signal alarm and mail alarm. The problem is that in those alarms, EVERITHING is sended by mail; i mean everytime a brake level occours, we have the alarm.
This is great if you are already in the trade; But if you are not, and you are looking for the trade, what will happend?, you will become crazy, because everytime you here a sound for the MT4, you will be looking for the arrow simbol to enter.

The solution for this is real simple:

Im attaching a indicator, that shows how much time is remaining to the candlestick to close, regardless the time frame. so what you need to do is put the indicator in any window, at the 4 hour timeframe, minimize the window, and get that alarm (alarm2.wav), and that will be the sound for the the candlestick to close, and the new to come (the alarme default setting is 2 min prior candlestick to close).

What i will like to reques from this thread, is if anyone can add to the indicator the option of email alarm, so you can also be notified by email.

I've noticed it didn't have a deinit function and if you removed the indicator from the chart, it didn't remove the comment.

Fixed that too.

There is a very easy and simple way to get notifications (works for this method or anyone):

A) add the indicator here posted to any pair at the 4 hour time frame
**tnx to lightkeeper for email notification***
This indicator will give you an audible alert as well and e mail alert
B) allow, under options in mt4 to send e mail alerts (to do so you will need 2 emails accounts, one with a smtp server and the other can be any type of e mail -yahoo, hotmail, gmail, whatever-
C) by doing this you will receive and e mail notification
D) install the program POP PEEPER (its a freeware), that is attached to this post
E) Add on the pop peeper the account in witch you are receiving your MT4 notificacion
F) set the pop peeper to check your email each 10 mins

and you are done, every 10 mins you will be notified until the change of the 4 hour new candlestick, when that occours, attach the indicator (demar_trend_alert_and_mail) to your chart, and check if there is a trade or not.

note: you can attach any sound to the pop peeper. in my case i have a loud wav file to notify me.

Finally, I've turned off all those colorful, pretty arrows (they're actually red and blue circles but they're "arrows" in MT4 terms). If you want to change the default, open the indicator using metaeditor, and change the line "extern ShowArrows=false;" to "extern ShowArrows=true;".

Please let me know exactly when you want alerts to happen. Do you also want an email alert? As soon as you tell me more details on that, I'll try to make some alerts for you.
