All automatic (counter) traders must have done bad.

Never saw a move (even during the summer) where all major indexes reversed at almost the same time.
Now to find out what happened last night.

If you can read charts, these ones will tell the story about fake moves and reversals.
I think there where some major players playing here probably taking advantage of low volatility because i haven't seen any earth shocking news (apart from what happened in Yemen f*ing SA ragheads) so far.
Unless you knew it on forehand or happened to be trading in the right direction (not likely) there was no pair that was save.

Because like Stochs or Hybrid the distance between consecutive trades is set in time and PIPS !
But PIPS on a 1:33 leverage, a higher required margin per lot and a higher stop out do not allow the current EA's to work on the same way they did.
They have to be re-designed and re-worked.

These rules will blow more accounts rather than protect retail traders.

There are no moronic questions (except for "are the markets manipulated ?")

There are a lot of free idx and lfx indicators to be found in and out FF.
Just google MT4 (MQ4) idx/lfx indicator.

Well that was one hell of a ride!

Hybrid tried its best during this crazy last 2 weeks, but ultimately it could not survive and come back.

The killers pairs were EJ and GU. These were monsters trenders this week among many others from what I see on the charts.

As a grid base EA I didn't see any other way of Hybrid recovering from this unless you had $1000 per pair at 0.01 fixed lot, maybe and then just maybe you could keep holding on.

Anyway every loss is a lesson learned right? Now we need to figure out how to survive these kinds of situations.

Yep Im all good (for now xD)

Ive test hundreds of EAs and never saw one working well full auto 24/24.

In my opinion an EA its more like a tool who helps you in trading, Stochs2 triggers positions and I will monitor them and close some if I find the cycle too long.
Its like some did with Hybrid Manual Start V1.1, which is a great EA with this semi auto philosophy that seems to me the best.

In addition to this you have to be patient, after tonight mouvements I decide to left EA off for the day and let the market breathe.

A bit of feedback.....

I've been testing the Hybrid All In with various settings over the last couple of months and all have faired pretty well (up about 35% profit) until this week of course ( I have previously posted 5min chart settings what I have been using) Theses accounts are still just about hanging in but with large DD 50/60% - whether they will recover who knows but I'm glad I'm still on demo accounts......

Some encouraging news though....... I've also been testing RMHC Hybrid 1.2- settings are as per bishopdotun's post 888 apart from some slight changes i.e. increasing step orders to 90, limiting trades to 6 and using sum start instead of fixed lot. Now admittingly I've been only trading 3 pairs but I am in profit for the week with only about 2% floating DD at the moment. The pairs I've been trading are EURSD,GBPAUD & CADJPY due to their low correlation (was the theory!), but when EU & GA went on their death spirals this week DD remained reasonable and the EA closed them all out on the retrace in profit - I may have been lucky with the pairs but it was a happy outcome!
Hope this info maybe of some use to the community.......

because I'm quite confused how to optimize the set if I don't know that

Hello Traders,

Could you please suggest few of the low-correlated-pairs together with comparatively-low-movement-range.

Knowledge of daily ATR is not helpful when the price is moving in one direction for few days without retracing.

I think you were wrong about the correlations between the pairs.

Your right FXM...

I think my mistake was that when I started testing this system a month ago I chose the pairs based on the current data at the time ( Myfxbook) but have never changed them. So in the future maybe worth changing the pairs at the start of the week with the latest data?
The RMHC Hybrid 1.2 still held up though with the pairs I mentioned, so that's why I thought it was encouraging....

You can find those tables and graphs here on FF or MyFxBook or another good source Dukacopy.

I have been testing Hybrid on 3 new pairs this week, and so far they have performed well despite many other TE's crashing this week.

2 X AUD pairs.
2 X CAD pairs.
2 X NZD pairs.

These are low ADR non USD, commodity base pairs; AUDCAD, AUDNZD, and NZDCAD.

I've set them up on M1 with Summ lot at $333 per pair using 0.01.

This first week the account made +12% with max DD at 3.3%.

Its still early, but considering what a week we had they performed pretty good I think. Time will tell if this will be a good set up long term, but that's what testing is for right!

Sorry to ask again, but does anyone know the settings for Majix's Hybrid All In - Scalper? I've trawled the thread trying to find it but no success.

It seems to have held up through both last weeks and the week before's crazy times.
