EJ is really getting murdered this week, and the EA is taking a beating, but I'm confident that it will work its magic and close out in profit!

If this was on summ lot I probably would have had margin call by now lol..

Nope, not if you where using martingale (and perhaps not even with summlot).
If you take a good look and calculate the pip distances you would conclude that a lot of trades would have been closed "tapped out" on the reversals while going down.

What you have now can take months or needs a forex shocking event to get the trades closed but in the mean time it will occupy the needed margin.

agreed...already flat on EJ büt on EA Stochs2 with step order 30 points on M1 and summlot...

Looks more to mee like a hick-up at a support.
Throw in a S&R indicators and have a good look.

Only choice you have if it breaks is to take your loss.

Btw.

What is that red (up) trend line doing in this down trend ?
I expect something like this....

Its true probably if Summ lot was used some trades would have been closed out by now, but that's the risk you take.

This account is $1000 with 5 pairs so using Summ lot would be very risky, and potential for holding large DD.

I already tested this scenario last month and the account actually blew, so this time I'm doing fixed lot.

Lets see how it holds up, and how long it takes to close out the trades.

It happened sooner than i predicted but to be honest the NFP did not help.

Oh boy here we go! 36 orders stacked up and over 3600 pips in the stinker..

EJ is really taking a beating this week wow..

Good thing this it is on demo so lets see how Hybrid handles this situation.

Stochs and hybrid are countertrend traders so they need summlot or martingale (x3) to close in profit on a reversal.

If you do not want to take that risk and want to trade fixed lot at least limit the number of trades to about 5 or 6.
You are going to need what about a 200 pip up move to close your 36 trades ?
Not likely going to happen any time soon.
With 5 or 6 trades you would have had the opportunity to get out at a smaller loss and let the EA start trading again at the new EJ level where i think it is going to be for a while.

Well I'm steel in the game. I had 2 Support lines and it responded at the other one nicely. If it breaks there then it's not good. But it will take time to recover this deep dip.

I'm curious as to how you, and any others, managed to avoid the E/J mess on thursday/friday - is that diff settings, manual intervention, just luck?

Hi to all,

i also traded EURJPY with Stochs2 on my live account last week and closed all open trades with a hugh loss when i saw that the movement was too big to recover in time.
But thatīs my way to trade this system.
If i saw that the currency pair donīt recover in time, i close all position with a loss and donīt wait until my account blow away und hope and pray that the pair move in my direction in time again.
So how you would risk should be knwon by yourself before you start trading this system.

This EA are probably one of the best i have seen for a long time and you can make good profit with them but donīt let them run without have an eye on it.

@ Magix … are you still working on the tap out Version?? This option would be very helpful in such Situation which happenend last week with Eur Jpy.

I only use hybrid for cost averaging and fixed lot. That means fewer trades and controlled lot sizing.

I now use Hybrid 1.2 and Hybrid All In. I stopped Stoch2. I found that Stoch2 was a bit too aggressive for me, so I switched my accounts on stoch2 to hybrid all in with fixed lot, 50 points grid, 900s delay and MACD set to 40. I did several tests and it had reasonably low DD with decent profit.
