Anyway it's better to close my daytrade, strange hot july daytrade.

I have only 1FDXM long 779 with stop at 769.

Done for today:+2+5,5+11,5+7+12,4+4=TOTAL +42,5 pips FDAX.

So in worst case scenario I will finish my dytrade with +40 pips FDAX instead of +42,5.

Have you ever had a week in which you could't achieve your weekly goal?

Looking pretty consistent as far as I've seen. You prove that there is such thing as a consistently profitable retail trader who follows his plan.

stop loss triggered for my last FDXM 779 at 769, so -10 pips FDXM=-2 pips FDAX

FINAL UPDATE FOR TODAY:+42,5-2= TOTAL +40,5 pips FDAX.

...and when I start to think that I'm a smart trader I start to loose again.

Good work Brixen, consistent. No trades today for me.The market didn't excite me today so kept away. Tomorrow may see my first entry for the week depending on how it flows

thanks PipMiner. it was a very strange daytrade.
boring, slow, with few accelerations, very dangerous. I even fall asleep for 1 hour in the afternoon and I haven't closed some gains in the morning.
Luckily I'm alive again with a good gain.
tomorrow is another story and as usual I restart from zero.

Moral of the story: if you put in the work day in and day out, stay focused by for example trading one instrument, you can become conditioned to different market phases and therefore become profitable on a regular basis.

Last day of July with European Inflation data during the morning, Usual US data in the afternoon and APPLE earnings after US close.

8CET open will be around 790.

I will be a buyer around 77.. and 76.. zone that seem for now good support.
745 is 38,2% Fibonacci retracement (13150 till 12090) while 645 is 50%
but everything may change in a while and this strict range may explode, up or down.

I always ask if H4 it's an efficient TF for DAX, due to absence of trading (I mean real trading) between 22CET till 8CET. Forex is different.
What's your opinion pipfarm?

All i know is it works for me, i have had several trades this past 2 weeks off the 4 hour with 100% win , i look for trade set ups from daily , 4 hour and 1 hour.

For the 4 hour i will take my entries of the 1 hour, daily entries on 4h and 1 hour entries on 15m.

OK, I understand your opinion, but your H4 is based on 24 hrs or only on 8CET till 22 CET data?

From market open to close, so if the 4 hour closes for me at 1 pm here in the right position, i will watch the 1 hour for entry, it could take several hours to get the entry, or maybe not at all.

At the moment it looks like retest of resistance to go short , but that could change if price goes up through resistance and the 4 hour closes in a different position then i will have to look for a long retest and entry.
