All Majors Only- No stop group

I've always wondered one thing and since people here say trading with stop loss is bad and this thread is basically dedicated to trading without stop AND that stop hunt is the way THEY (THEY being the big boys) make money...if every small trader/bank/whatever stops trading using stop losses...how will THEY make money anymore? Or would they call it a day and go get another job?

They all trade in a very different way. So keeping stops or no stops does no difference to big picture of market.

We come under small traders even with 500k accounts or more.

I tried riding the market without using stop losses. To me it didn't work. The market will simply outlast you as it's going against you. I do mental stop losses and am pretty religious about them. The problem with most platforms is that you cannot put individual stops on a particular position if you are doing multiple positions. MT4 for example, if I put a stop loss on one position it counts for all positions. Since I do multiple positions (up to about 8 to 14 or so) I have to do a mental stop loss. If my first position hits a certain dollar amount, say 10-12 dollars against me, I will close it and reposition it again. If I'm in the right range, I shouldn't have to close too often.

The only time I do an actual stop loss is when I made a profit and have expectations of the PA reversal. I do a high lot pip with a short stop loss. I either win or get out quick.
