That's good for you. I had to change my broker several times before I was pleased with the execution speed, even if I wasn't actually scalping.

There is a huge variety of currency pairs available for trading in the Forex market. It is recommended to start with just one currency pair and the best one for the beginning is EUR/USD.
I've heard this time and time again. Didn't work for me. I guess since it's traded so much you'll have a lot of support from various persons in and out of the community. But I'd still recommend doing research and picking one.

Personally I rather pairs that actually move - spread may be higher but they move enough daily to negate that. If you scalp then you want pairs with tight spreads.

A Google search for pairs with the most movement will show you some good lists. The first link there in the results gives some idea.

Why pick a pair that moves? You have more room to work whether or not you hedge. As long as it moves you can either close your hedges faster, wait for the position to go in profit or get rid of bad trades and move on quickly. The problem with some other pairs (like the EUR/USD) is if you get it wrong and it gets away from you then you have weeks/months to wait until it comes back. But that's just my personal opinion. Find whatever you're comfortable with and whatever works for you.

any pair is the best to trade at a certain period. but JPY crosses and minors can be a lot more challanging day to daythen the majors due to their more volitile nature.
In my opinion for daily traders pairs are GBPUSD, USDMXN.

I've never traded USD/MXN, I don't even think I've seen a chart for it. How is the spread like?

I think you should trade the currencies which are the most active like THE EUR, AUD, USD, CAD Etc. Try to trade the currencies which have the lowest spread. Lesser spreads mean bigger profits.

I agree. And they are easier to trade, I think, because the margin for error is wider.

Yes, low trading spread is very much important issue and I see almost all of major pairs have low trading spread rather than the exotic pairs.

Huge,I got 30 pips spread, but I don't trade it.However this pair makes helluva pips.Someone could makes nice money in one day,but it also works vice versa

If EUR USD did not work for you then you can try the JPY pairs, these are also having a good movement during market time.

Right. Currency pairs which offer greater liquidity and tighter spreads should be preferred. And traders should have enough knowledge about them also and should feel comfortable trading them

I agree in general, but some people prefer exotic pairs and if it works for them then it works for them.

How much is your lowest latency in "ms", when you click on the "Connection status", located in the bottom-right side of the terminal ?

Around 3000+ kb, I think. Keep in mind I don't actually scalp.
The best pairs cannot be determined for general or cannot work for all at the same time. In simple sense, there are factors to considers that suits you like, pair's volatility, their spreads, making sure if picked pairs suits your strategy and also the level of difficulty. But for starter, the best pairs would be EURUSD, GBPUSD, NZDUSD, AUSUSD (Rich liquidity and major pairs). BUT the starter is not recommended to trade many currencies, at one time. Once you're growing, efficient in trading, then you can slightly expand your trading portfolio. Make sure that risk management is not absent in everyday trading life.
I've had the most success trading the fiber (EurUsd) and cable (GbpUsd) during the opening of the London session. You have to stick with what works for you.

Oh, I mean when you click on it, a small window will appear, where you will see a list with all servers / nodes of your broker. You are connected to one of these servers (most often to the one with lower "ms"). How much is the value in "ms" of the server that you are connected ? So I can tell you, whether your connection is good...
