Thanks mate for the encouraging words. I started trading in late 2010 and I blew my first three live-trading accounts within the first six months. Thereafter, I took much time to really try to understand the markets and how to analyse the markets primarily by price action. This has led to remarkable improvement in how I trade.

Trade safe and prosper.

Using a top-down, multi-time frame approach to understanding and trading the markets yields very good results.

I would like to control my emotions in much better way today as it is the most difficult part of the trading. I think many experienced trader do not have full control on emotions. I always work on my psychology by utilizing the practice of mindfulness. What do you people do in this regard?

A practical step is to properly analyze the market, prepare a trading plan for any market you are tracking and trade the plan.

Never forget why you are in the market. Always remember that you are not in the market just to trade; you are in the market to make money. If you have a strong urge to trade, think twice. Are the market conditions right for your trading system or strategy to make you money? If not, step aside.

Trading psychology can be important for consistent success in trading. One aspect is being patient to trade based on quality setups. How often do traders get reminded by the markets that they should always confirm trade setups before placing trade orders? This is often a recurrent reminder to traders who lack trading discipline.

Trade safe and you would prosper.

Such tools do help. But you will get more benefit from them by first identifying what you need to improve upon and then looking for the best resources that can help you.

One of the things I do is to periodically check which aspects of my trading I need to improve upon. Recently, I realized that I can improve on the precision of my entry levels. Usually, I have a high probability of accuracy in my technical analysis of market scenario and direction but my entry does lack precision in many ways, leading to me using a higher than average stop loss order. Since last week, I have been working on how to be more precise.

I learned that I need to stick to what trading style works best for me. I'm a scalper and make the most of my profits scalping with fundamentals mixed in. I also learned about the Trade Navigator, which is a nifty thing from Forex Factory that I previously didn't know about.

Just one thing? Ok. Limit trades to no more than 0.5% risk of your account balance.

Limit your leverage and dont trade a system without at least 1.3:1 r:r. .3 covers the "hidden spread".
If you take 10 pip wins and 11 pip stops your DEAD.
