This is the way I trade with this method. It is an EA I once ordered a few years ago. It has everything that you need. Well programmed and very intelligent{image} {image}
Could you give me what's the name of your EA, and where to buy its, I'd to try it .

This is all you need to know; most broker rollover at 5 PM New York to give 5 equal daily candles during the week
If you lived in New York, Forex opens at 5 PM Sunday after noon, and closes at 5 PM Friday afternoon
Trying to relate that to GMT is useless due to the various daylight savings time changes throughout - different in every country
But the brokers keep the rollover to 5 PM New York local time; problem solved
Tokyo opens 2 hours later but don't worry about that

Okay I read all the thread, much ado about time, and then a lot about the EA
Here is my take, I don't really think it matters much about how many hours the box covers.
The way I see it, you need to define the objective; are you looking for a breakout during Asian session as the pair has JPY in it?
Or, the intent is to trade during the Europe session to catch the breakout there, Frankfurt and later, London?
Most days, the box still contains the price data very well for the first 8 hours, to that witching hour before Frankfurt opens.
Either they wake up early or Asian banks are closing positions, check the price action there.
All you backtesters probably found that out, right?
If still concerned about getting the time right, the best place is https://www.timeanddate.com/
Make yourself a Personal World Clock as shown below, include Reykjavik - it is GMT all year long
