Precisely. 130 pips in the week of April Fool. That’s the lowest of the week year. That sounds to me, this is ranging week. And to range, I want NY to close below 1.1618 today. So that we can expect some breakouts on Friday.

Yes, you are right, I should have said since April. Let's see what's gonna happen tomorrow, breakout or not.

Gator, no questions at all about your position, but aren't you trading against Boulder's H1 and H4 stops? I have just noticed many times that you say you do not like trading against those levels.

I figured 1719 would give 1682 or less, like 1636 at the time. stops were limited to the high at 1719x + 2.. i got in late at 1711.. look to the left.. anyway, if 1719 forms a little double top. I think 1636 is where I want to enter. I posted the scenerero of that HH last week and the expected retrace. London did close higher, so odds are decent 1719 area will be challenged again. The week bears just care about closing + 1682.. they don't mind a drift back to 1636. They are likely to enter there and lower again IMHO..better yet 1623 or 1608 may see action..

i figure i can short near 1719 with a small stop. I may be wrong, but my stop is limited to that plus some spread, my tp 80ish pips.. i plan on longing that anticipated retrace. The month doji has a characteristic of retracing near the lows and highs. often its both directions. I still side with a 1850 test.. but its better for me to buy lower..

M30,Uptrend, Trend stop at 1H close 1.1678, Running Period: 61xM30
1H, Uptrend, Trend stop at 1H close 1.1662, Running Period: 18x1H
4H, Uptrend, Trend stop at 4H close 1.1617, Running Period: 4 x 4H
Daily, Downtrend, Trend stop at day close 1.1784, Running Period: 64 days.
Weekly, Downtrend, Trend stop at day close 1.2535, Running Period: 6week


( Note: Those stops will change with hour close and price action)

Trading Strategy:

Currently M30, H1 and 4H uptrend, daily and weekly are downtrend.

If you trade M30 trend, preference is to long as long as uptrend stop 1.1678 held at M30 close.

If you trade 1H trend, preference is to long as long as uptrend stop 1.1662 held at 1H close.

Shorted again at 1.1712.

Yesterday short was closed before FOMC for 30.
Why sell the bottoms when you can buy the tops...

central time// in less than 2 hours. weekly bulls want to maintain 1682+ for london. but after it may allow some drop below..


or if it drops before london.. the week has to maintain 1625 or 1621 for bulls. Ideally for bulls is a L close above 1682..
Each close above make the retrace I wait for harder.. But a close above makes a retrace more likely to bounce higher. even after a drop..
