Bernanke will he be?

Bernanke will he be a wuss in his speach (more then likely in my opinion) or will he smack down the stock market?

I don't think he will comment directly on US monetary policy today.

yeah his speach is all about demographic change. Nothing USD sensitive that I could see.

Apparently he decided not to comment on monetary policy and economic issues. Maybe the Q&A session later can move the markets.

Anyway he has clearly learned from his past mistakes. If he just keeps his mouth shut the dollar should be fine. :

No disrespect to the man and I was certainly not trying to criticize him. I'm in no position to do so.

The job of the fed chairman is to confuse us! He'll talk about housing starts, blah, blah, blah, when he's really worried about unemployment. His job is to keep the economy stable instead of going apeshit in one direction or the other. If there's a downturn, he's supposed to keep it light, if there's and upturn, he's supposed to keep things from getting over-inflated. Every word out of his mouth affects the markets. That's why everything, and I mean everything, he says in public is calculated to achieve a desired effect. Focus on what he doesn't say...

Where do I go to listen to him live?

Why listen to him live? What he says is intentional mumbo-jumbo, yeah, it affects the markets, but not in a way I want to trade...
