Yes. It's good if we can combine both fundamental analysis and technical analysis. I think only technical analysis can also be used for trading and many traders are making money including me. I just stay away from economic news release.

I’ve been paying more attention to combining the technicals with the fundamentals and near-term sentiment and it’s actually worked out quite well. I’m was finding that I wasn’t getting as many opportunities simply by using sentiment and forex fundamentals analysis alone and the entries weren’t as exact as I’d like.

Could you reverse your approach? Use technicals as the primary approach to market analysis and let fundamentals drive the momentum. That is, look to trade pairs in the direction of the technical bigger picture with strong fundamentals support.

Oil is collapsing because of the Chinese threat of US oil and gas taxation.

I haven't used technicals to enter any of my crypto trades yet. It's based only off the fundamentals so far. I'm dollar cost averaging into the crypto market. I'm not patient enough with these markets to buy at support. I think the whole market will take off at the when institutional capital flows in and I don't want to miss it (fomo)

But I don’t ignore the news events complete; I monitor my trading chart during the high voltage news and if get trend based trading opportunity then I take that chance.
