I have MACD-2c.mq4 file. I need someone to help me program email alert. It should alert when fast line crosses slow one.

I have already configured smtp part in metatrader and testmail works fine.

Thanks in adavance.

Hi Mkcky,

I've modified the indicator and tested in 1m charts (the only way to test quickly I think). Hopefully it does the same thing in other timeframes! hahaha. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I've introduced a couple of variables.
1. EmailAlert - if true you get emails if false you don't;
2. Wait4Close2Plot - if set to 'true', MACD only plots after the close of each bar. This eliminates some false signals. "false" by default.
3. Wait4Close2Mail - if set to "true", you only get emails after the bar has closed. If set to "false" you'll get an email as soon as there's a cross (but still only on the first cross on the currently forming bar). In the end, I don't think you're looking for an email every time the thing crosses back and forward until the bar is closed anyway. But do correct me if I'm wrong. ]

I hope this helps and let me know of any problems.

Hi Lightkeeper,

It works perfectly. I wait for close of bar so there to avoid false signals. I took little bit of time to reply becuase I was testing it on 1 hour time period and as you know it takes long time to generate handfull of signals.

I owe you bunch of drinks and a meal Thanks a lot for help.
