This is a huge subject... I always like reading original source material rather than someone's second hand interpretation... The motherload of free to read and down load of W.D. Gann original material is at http://www.gann.su/index_en.html

www.Timingsolution.com has many many articles on how cyclical and astronomical analysis can help predict future market movement. The charts I post were created using this software. click on the ??? link at the top for a long list of free to read articles.

End of the week recap...The sun model in post 9271 proved to be a more correct model for the week. The theory is that when the sun enters a new house, (Cancer this month), the regular cyclical prediction using the Q Spectrum can get thrown off...

I posted the 2nd image last night, then removed it this morning... but am reposting again tonight... I have also noticed that Venus oftentimes gives an accurate picture of the end of the week, particularly its named day of the week, Vendredi in French or Friday. The effect can begin on Thursday... The second image is showing Venus-Venus, 5th harmonic (5 letters in Venus) before data for the week was loaded.

Outlook for next week... Classic analysis, Q Spectrum and Mars-Mars as Mars is in the clear this week... The straight line pointing up is the Moon Q, I have used in the past for further confirmation.

Hi Jerry,

The Q spectrum analysis did a great job last week. I was doing the analysis every 2nd day, to see if anything is changing and Thursday's reversal appeared on Wednesday.

The next week analysis does not include Friday data, but it shows that reversal should happen on Tuesday evening, which is the opposite of yours. I assume, it is just Inverted version.

Let's see how it goes next week.

Hi Becks... how many bars are you analyzing? Here is my data set for next week... it would be interesting to see if that changes your results if you ran it. Also, how many bars in the Q spectrum... all or a limited range?

Thank you for all the time and effort you put into every post. It is quite informative.

A couple of questions for you.

A quick question i have noticed that Mars is in retrograde this week - from Tuesday and the Full Moon is in Capricorn from Thursday at 5.54am GMT. In your previous posts, you mentioned that you look for planets in the clear - "free of disturbances" - Can you show from the astrolog where you see the planets that are in the clear.

And is Mars in the clear with it being in retrograde.

2nd question from your Pips Calculation for the weekly result - It looks like you are just drawing a line from highs to lows etc. If you were trading this on a live account would your entry criteria be more specific? I know you have mentioned entering at a specific time and data according to the TS slope .. Would you just use this?

Also - check out Strategy Automator from Runwise and EA for MetaTrader - It might do what you are looking for when opening and closing at a specific date and time.

Hi Jerry,

I did with 15k bars for next week, but I do not remember the Q spectrum bars as it was on my Windows PC and I will have it on Monday only.

I will also run your Datasheet and will add mine here on Monday.

Yes, I step forward each day of the upcoming week in Astrolog. With the Moon entering Capricorn, it is crossing (conjuncting) Saturn and Pluto, so they are not "in the clear" Mars on the other hand is not aspecting another planet nor crossed by the Moon this week...

-is Mars in the clear with it being in retrograde.

Good Q. about Mars and Retrograde .... I have not yet determined if going retrograde has a detrimental affect on the slope calculation... something to look at though

I set the trade lines according to the change in slope of the projected curve posted in advance.

Projection looks very similar to last month. Week Commencing 28/05/2018. I have tried to attach this several times but it just says attach in the preview so not really
sure if this is working or not.


Also on your Moon Q Line what type of rotation are you using ie sidereal , anomalistic etc.

Hi Skippy,

The Moon Q calculated the Moon Tropical cycle.. I can also choose Moon Phase and Draconic Cycle...See attached image for the options available to me. You can take a screen shot using the Snipping Tool in Windows then save to your cloud service or local drive, then upload from there...

The image just posted was based on 5,000 bars as an experiment, instead of the usual 10,000 30 min bars...Green is Mars, thin blue is Q Spectrum, 550 - 1250 bars.

Thanks for the latest chart. The question i would ask is how did these amended parameters compare against previous weeks. By changing the underlying data ( cycle size ) the cycle duration analysis changes. The only way of knowing of whether this cycle dataset is relevant is against previous performance. Even then the cycle that was used may no longer be in process i.e. the price pulse has slowed or is not relevant moving forward.

I guess we will see at the end of the week which analysis proved in line with the market movement.

Hi Skippy,

I haven't done any back testing of 5,000 bars vs. 10,000 bars. Here is how the Mars projection line posted above has predicted PA so far this week... This line was created using 5,000 30 min bars. Because the length of the interval is shorter, I increased the harmonic to 14 (1) and inverted (2) the curve to mirror the Q Spectrum projection line above... To pick 14 and not 15th harmonic, the number of cycles should reduce to a 3,6 or 9 Triad and sometimes I use the master number 11. Here with 14th harmonic, I get 2.64 cycles which reduce to 3.

Thanks Jerry and Becks. It is interesting that recently the full moon has been a low for the EURUSD and the projections are showing a high for later in the week. Any thoughts ?

End of the Week Recap, EUR/USD 30 min bars

This week saw a perfect inversion from the June 24th prediction, post 9295

... A spectacular failure or success, depending how you want to look at it... Failure as the net loss was -373 pips for the week... success as each turning point was foreseen before the week began, just backwards...

My working theory was that as the Sun enters a new house, look for the Q Spectrum to be inverted for the week... But in this case, The sun entered Cancer on Friday, at the end of last week. So, just maybe, in that case, the inversion takes place for the next trading week... an idea I'll need to back test.

The Moon Q line (straight green line), proved to be correct in that the week ended higher than the beginning of it, mid-Tuesday.
