Kijun-sen line indicator

Hi there 'Pip Makers'... A newbie here, is it possible to code what I have attached here. This is a kijun sen line which changes colour when candle crosses it.

For use with above indicator Color Fill Tenkan Kijun + Alerts or two Kijun or two Tenkan or Tenkan & Kijun (Tenkan & Kijun same thing, different names)

1. The indicator will set chart Mode to candles. (can be reset as required)
2. The indicator will set Chart Foreground = false. (can be reset as required but required for indicator candles to be visible)
3. Chart candles will be background and indicator candles overlaid.
4. Chart candles used as candles in the color fill/cloud - note: set as required - image chart candle color DarkSlateGray.

I forgot to lower the test settings (500) before posting - during trading should be set to lowest (5) for optimum pc performance.

Pretty Indie, the question is how wel it will perform on choppy markets.

The brutal true is - trading crap conditions leads to crap returns.

MA Color Fill + Alerts

Color Fill Options

1. Price - MA1
2. Price - MA2
3. MA1 - MA2
4. No Fill

Alert: MA1 EMA-Period 21-Shift 25-Price Low Recompiled and updated in accordance with new code - #property strict

1. Only bullish alerts upper boundary
2. Only bearish alerts lower boundary
3. Bullish and bearish alerts when boundaries overlaid.

From crossover code reviewed the popular approach is - bullish crossover: bar open <= KS & bar close >= KS. The inverse for bearish crossover.
In order to generate a signal the bar open to close width must intercept the KS, MA, line or boundary.
Bar open & close both > or < is a state of always-in-alert and is not a viable solution.

A problem of missed signal occurs when the open to close width of the signal bar gaps down or up without intercept across the Tenkan or Kijun boundary.
In order to enhance prevention of above I have coded - bullish crossover: bar low <= upper boundary & bar close >= Upper boundary. Bearish crossover: bar high > =lower boundary & bar close <= lower boundary.

This results in additional alerts after a bullish crossover if bullish low wicks intercept the upper boundary and after bearish crossover if bearish high wicks intercept the lower boundary.
As every trade has a potential cost this is deemed a worthy payoff against missed signals.

Image: A bar open-close gap down from the lower boundary (missed signal alert) and bear bar wick high intercepting the lower boundary generating bearish signal (bullish bars ignored).

Can we please have the mq4 file(s) from your posted 0 - Color_* indicators?

1. The EA is semi-automatic.
2. The EA can be set to take trades automatically on bar close across SMA, EMA, SMMA, LWMA and Kijun Sen.
3. After the EA has take a trade the EA will disarm and need a click of Buy or Sell button to re-arm.
4. The EA will not re-arm for a Buy trade if price is above the MA or Kijun Sen - The EA will not re-arm for a Sell trade if price is under the MA or Kijun Sen.
5. The indicator can be disarmed by clicking the Flat button.
6. The EA can set SL & TP.
7. The EA does not close trades.

Note: The EA does not have trailing stop - the EA is a kind of forgotten rough and ready testing study, is on file and I don't have time or interest to add trailing stop at present.

This update orders the the TS & KS labels with higher price at top and lower price at bottom and assigns TS or KS identification accordingly.

Dear Phylo,
I just came across this thread today and I must say that I am really glad I did because I have been looking for an indy that could signal the TOUCH of two different MA's. Everything out there signals the cross so this one is a very better option as it shows the price of both MA's and I could just use that. Thank you so very much for this invention.
In the meantime, while I use this I would like to request if you could add the option for touch of the two MA's with alerts and arrows that are fully customizable or maybe you could just create a new indy just for the TOUCH of two different MA's with the price labels included too whichever is easier.
Ofcourse this request is for you to consider if its doable and also at your free time as I can gladly make use of the price label displays pending when you are available.
