Magicpips, can I let the low risk version run during high impact news? I donīt want to turn it off every time Draghi speaks or NFP... I have activated the equity stop protection (with 40%).

Yes you may run the EA during high impact news apart from INTEREST RATE DECISION news.Please make sure you turn off the EA before the interest rate decision.

Full ea automation (including news awareness) is very much possible. An ea can be programmed to be aware of news events and disable itself before the news, then re-enable itself afterwards with no user intervention. It's complex to program this kind of automation, but is certainly possible, and has been implemented before on other ea's.
You are correct not to expect it, but just saying it is possible. On the one hand, you could say you can't expect this kind of functionality from a free ea. On the other hand, if the ea is sensitive to news events then it is not unreasonable to expect it to be able to handle the news events itself.

Regarding implementing news tool ,we have tried that so many times but unfortunately EA did not perform well or received wrong signals so we decided to remove news filter option.

As ModestEA user I am a bit disappointed that not many people see the potential of this ea .I don't see MODEST EA team coming on this forum that much as well ,all the negative stuff said about this ea ,after almost 2 months live trading I have learned how to use this ea ,well done modest ea team

If you have learned how to use it, why don't you share your strategy with us, how did you learn this strategy, from the creators? I think the EA could have been presented better. There are a lot of newbies on this forum and they do not understand things that experienced traders takes for granted. For instance, the equity protector comes out of the box setting as False. Dangerous, but the creators made us believe we changed that setting ourselves. It took me three weeks to figure this out. We were told EA Loves volatility, we should only turn it off during interest news and we would be warned before hand. This never happened and when I enquired MagicPips did not even bother to answer. On both occasions I lost money. The EA also does not appeal to the "little guy" with the minimum equity being $1000, but that is probably not the creator's problem. I agree that the EA has potential, and it probably did not deserve all the negative comments. Just think it could have been presented better. If you and the creators learned how to use it, best of luck and also keep your winning formula to yourself.

I totally understand what u say but if u know yourself as newbie than why do u get in to this business and trade live account ,modest ea team give the ea as free to demo it,so until u feel comfortable for yourself keep demo it,no one has forced here to buy the ea and every time I contact the team they are always there and very helpful.i am an ea junkie ,I have tried so many ea and so far it is one of the best and also there is someone always answer my questions ,good luck in your trading
