So I have two account with two different brokers on two different laptops, and wanted to synchronize them when it comes to placing trades on certain pair etc.

A colleague of mine a long time ago gave me this file from fx-at.net called MetaTraderBridge_EA_v1 which is suppose to copy trades via socket TCP/IP. Frankly, the file seems to be built in '09, and when I placed the files in their respective paths etc... MT4 started crashing at launch. Then I tried deleting just the DLL, and there.... now MT4 works ok.

I was wondering, is it because of modifications to MT4 in the past decade that makes DLL to crash MT4?

File attached.

Don't bother with it. Use a better trade mirror provider.

I have used these for years without any issues

Hey Londonboy,

Thank for the advise... Unfortunately, it is not for everyone... I'm not planning to sell my signals to anyone, so don't need to broadcast . I have my own network built and looking for solution that can accommodate it internally and final data to go out only to designated locations... without any cloud intermediaries etc...

You can broadcast it to yourself with it.

You should run the trade copier in the same computer preferably a VPS or dedicated server. FXBlue is one of the free options available.

OK... so I got the account to get the copy... So far the issue is that I'm running MT4 on Linux via Wine... and FX-Blue seems to be built for Windows OS.... Is anyone familiar if that would run on Linux?

Talk about making life difficult for yourself lol :-)

Just pay for a VPS. You can get a decent one for less than £25 a month.
Run it all the MT4 instances for your multiple brokers on 1 VPS, use FXblue account - it will be quick, reliable and much less hard work than you are currently doing.

You can easily run 8 MT4 instances with 2 cores and 4GB of memory.

LOL... but at least I'll know more less whats going on... and if something out of ordinary happens, then its easier to investigate... FXblue has limitations in my view, given that its only Windows to start with... secondly, I have to further look through it. Sorry, but FXblue is not a good choice for me right now

Why would it matter? For fxblue to work you have to upload your trade data via http request to their server via their propriety and closed source program. Who knows where else that data goes or what else is done with it or even if it's properly encrypted...

You might want to have a look at this project which you could combine with the JSON serializer to make stuff easy.

EXACTLY!

Nicholishen, those two links seem to be very interesting... my only issue i'm more of a networking guy then programmer, so it seems that I might need to engage someone from the outside to help me get through it properly...
