How I handle my trades...

The initial StopLoss

Initial Stoploss should be “Dynamic” and based on Half Trend, we need to define initial Stoploss at Half Trend + X for me and I trust a lot Half Trend and the way it reflects short term resistances, I like to put my SL at Half trend + 5 pips

BUUUUUUUT!!! There is always a but...

I don't place my SL physically, I know that I will close the trade if a candle CLOSES on my SL, not if the price touches it, this way I increase the risk of course, but also LOTS of situations whe price is just comming to retest the zone and get rejected to continue...

Look here how the price is rejected at half trend zone and continues the movement... You get the point?

Attached Image

The initial StopLoss at half trend + X pips is really important, and also this StopLoss should ONLY be activated after candle close, as I said Price very often touches the level just to be rejected back again, Trade should be exited only if Price is closing IN or pass our Imaginary SL.

What you could have is a hard SL, just to make sure you don't get burned on a heavy news event and unexpected big move.

Yes, it is a must to do the entries after candle close, I use H4 candles.

Hello guys,

Long signal at AUDUSD

Rejection from a Key support level + Signal, if you want to be conservative put SL at last low, if you want to have tight SL, put it on candle close under Half Trend + 5pips

TP for half entry at ATR(14), Trail stop the shit out of it for the rest of the lot size Move SL to Break even after candle close around ATR(14)

Nice strategy, I am trying it now and results are more than good, after 1 week of testing, I will post my results. But for today, best pair EUR/AUD. I took buy on continuation of trend at 1.5583 SL was 1.5550 and no TP. I set trailing stop 25 pips so for now 62,7 pips booked on my wallet and position is running. Thanks for this strategy and the system.

Just forgot to answer you mate! Sorry

Take Profit I like to do the following:

1- Half lot closed at ATR(14) or when you see momentum is fading, maybe MBFX starting to go flat or BK Woodie.
2- In the moment you close first half, you move the other half to break even. Then you start trail stopping automatically or using Lower Highs / Higher lows, even fractals.

Jimm

Closed USDJPY with good +60 pips (I took it earlier) if you took it on the signal should be running now at +40

AUDCHF running in profit, still valid trade
AUDNZD the same

This would have been very small loss if you took aggresive SL (Half trend + X pips) and if you like to hold trades if PA agress... in profit now

AUDJPY, no entries...

AUDNZD, first a loss as we trade against daily Stoch and beautiful countertrade, or you just can not take trades against daily stoch and try to spot counter trade oportunities...

Aaaand... I'm bored, if you find more entries, feel free to share also the loses, I prefer to spot losers than winners as we will learn from them and try to avoid taking similar entries in the future...

Happy trading...

Let me explain another concept I use when using my strategy...

Counter Trade:

What is the counter trade? Counter trade is when we are trading against the current trend momentum, and when D1 stochastic for example is pointing UP or trend is clearly UP and we do a SELL Trade, if our SL gets hit we are going to open a counter trade position, I don't martingale it, I just cover my loss, but you are free of course as most of the time you catch the trend resuming and hence good oportunities for some good pips.

- Let's we placed SL at Half Trend + 10 pips, our SL gets triggered when a candle closed over it, we then, as D1 Stoch remains intact we open a counter trade.
- I like counter trades when they are "triggered" 1 or 2 candles maximum after my signal candle (NOT THE ENTRY CANDLE) this usually means a strong reversal point and usually strong trend in the direction where our counter trade is going to be opened.

Anyone still using this technique? I'm testing on M15 and it looks very promising.

It seems like it deserves a lot of attention. Congratulations on the hard work.

Does anyone else plan to continue?

Do you have any filters to be used on M15 and H1?

As nobody really paid attention I stopped posting on the Strat haha My whole idea was to trade together with people the Strat, find gaps and improve it, but was quite impossible

How are you setting your TP/SL at this lower TF? Never tested this strat below H4

I would suggest if you trade M15 use H4 TF to filter trend with the MTF Stochastic.
