Does anybody know how to make a mt4 indi work on newer builds?

Does anybody know how to make a mt4 file work on newer builds? I have a mt4 indicator that was programmed on the older version of mt4 and i want it to work on the newer one. Been trying to get it going all day cause it alerts when there is a flat sideways market during scalping

Try installing only the ex4 file. Do not install the mq4 file as it will not compile on the newer builds.

if you have mq4 file, can modify it with new version MetaEditor.

you could also try compiling it from the old build in case you cant easily fix the errors coming up with the new compiler. Attached is something i probably got from somewhere in FF it self.
