Hello Strats. great thread. I trade using longterm guppy ma with setting of 30-60, but I think switching to your 63 72 shadow will not affect much. thank you for sharing your valuable knowledge here in this thread!

Anyway, anyone here trade in M1 using PASR? I saw Strats and Yomi is trading M5, but no one seems to trade M1.

Before taking this trade,

1st, I have built CONVICTION that my read is correct (thanks darko2010's post 5307). Because the Boss, the Woker and the H4 tell me the same thing.

2nd, This is a Basic PASR Trade which is from 1st Resistance to Support.
I trade the Boss S/R. I think the next Support of Boss is at 82.20 that is my target and also is the bottom of WCC. I ignored the H4 S/R.

3rd, I consider the RR. and My RR is nearly 2:1.

We trade to LIVE, NOT live to trade.
So I think no one trade M1 just practise on M1.

that is 72 not 63.

I was going to post pretty much the same thing, but I am looking at a lower time frame for timing my entry to get a better risk:return. As it stands on the daily I make it as a little over 1:1 to first support.

I did not want to short early , because I thought I would see a small resistance close to 1.7547.
Then I was suspicious with the news approach. (may be too much)

The worker is at the bottom of a 200 pips range, so may be you could place your sell stop below the range low around 146.14, and take care of WCC

Interesting. Do you always look for things like this? Unless I am missing something, it seems like a 'wastage' of pips to me. Bad R:R as well.

In fact, we have been talking so much about PASR on this thread ( and the old thread as well), but what is the standard sell/buy stop placement for both M5 and Worker entry?
Regarding the Strat Shadow...

Strat, i remember you saying that a friend of yours tan through a simulation and found out 72ema reacted well to price last year. That is the reason why we switched from 63 to 72.

Going forward, if we are to become independant traders (or this forum closes one day), should we be concerned about the new ema of the Strat Shadow every year?

It is just that watching the worker structure the range jumped to my eyes.
And yes it is 24 pips waste (if you place you sell stop 20 pips below yesterday low).
Looking for more pips, it could be interesting to sell at top range (looking for PA on H4 ...)
But may be it is too much thinking ....

What makes me reluctant to short this pair is that even if the boss broke strong support, it looks like it is still in a range, and more precisely at the bottom of its range.
GBPCAD, Buy after BUOB, stop below, ratio 2 .I close it because I have to leave a hour.

I finish the week in gain, but I'm not happy with my trades, especially at the beginning of the week.

Now, it could be a little late to ask, but how do you guys put your sell stop? I have been using the rule of "12 pips below/above low/high for less volatile pairs (EURUSD,AUDUSD)" and "20 pips below/above low/high for more volatile pairs (GBPJPY, GBPNZD)". This could be difficult to find good Risk:Reward ratio if the range of the candle is too huge."

Use whatever you are happy with. I normally place it plus spread, i.e 2 spread plus 2 = 4!

If I'm already committed to the trade I want a fill and not concerned at that stage. If you are unsure of the market and place too far away from the close you are in the wrong trade before you place it.

Just for fun this is what I used to do when I started on the path and didn't know what I was looking at.... A bit bored today....

This would be the most conservative approach. Depends what your risk tolerance is.

If the worker closes above the 20 into the shadow then you are looking at a BASIC PASR buy using the WCC. Also if I am short I would use this price action to re-evaluate my initial stop and risk, i.e move it to the BOSS swing high or accept the stop above the WCC.

I might just open a buy as well and trade both...
