With the new Combo Indicator will you able to it to signal only if lower time frame is in the same direction/trend as higher frame?

7 pip SL is not enough for volatility. Use a last LOW and get lot size lower.

I added the option filter double trigger hit. Which means Impulse trigger must be hit on both sides.

In this chart impulse draw its values in sub-window "2" to make place for CS28 Combo Signals which draws the values in the main window "0". (This option you find in the impulse settings.)

You can set ACS28 to use higher TF. Then the higher TF will be used for ACS28.
CS28 Combo Signals detailed description will be released when we are ready to go, probably it will be next week.

4 trades to learn:
Starting with trend of H4.
Then look for setup M5 or M15 to enter. How to enter? I do not need to show again there are hundreds of examples in this thread.
Place your SL at the lower TF setup and your TP on the higher TF setup will give you great RR.




Now here the setup was not optimal because JPY was over MFib 161, then on a trail it has been stopped out.

Here is your requested function.

1. use Impulse double Trigger hit
2. alert Impulse double Trigger hit (includes filters on ACS28)

Sensitivity and trigger values needs to be set on Impulse indicator.

"CS28 Combo Signals" is ready, we’re working on instructions, so you’ll know how to use it.

"CS28 Combo Signals" plots on the same chart as ACS28 and Impulse, to make sure it uses the same TF and while you can change pairs and TF it always read the same thing.
Some inputs can be set in the "CS28 Combo Signals" indicator but most inputs to be set will be in ACS28 and Impulse indicators and they communicate with the "CS28 Combo Signals" indicator.
Set the new input "use PIN" = true on ACS28 and Impulse. Now choose on ACS28 the GAP value and on Impulse the trigger and vertical line values. These signals will now be send to "CS28 Combo Signals" which will alert, show and filter all combinations of the 28 pairs.

 

1. We see GAP up/down, it will tell and optional alert any GAP-arrow on ACS28.
2. We see dGAP buy/sell, it will check for 2 GAP-arrows (dGAP) on ACS28 but also filter those out when CS is outside of MFib 100/-100, this value can be set on "CS28 Combo Signals", then it will be listed under dGAP filtered, optional it can also filter if CS has crossed.
3. We see IMP buy/sell, it will tell if on a pair is a vertical-Line from Impulse but also filter those out when CS is outside of MFib 100/-100, this value can be set on "CS28 Combo Signals", then it will be listed under IMP filtered, optional it can also filter if CS has crossed.
4. We see IMP2 buy/sell (requested by 4xtrader2003). It will tell if on a pair is a double trigger hit from Impulse but also filter those out when CS is outside of MFib 100/-100. This value can be set on "CS28 Combo Signals", then it will be listed under IMP2 filtered, optional, it can also filter if CS has crossed.
5. We see COMBO buy/sell, it will tell if there is a setup which agrees to all active conditions above and tell the pair.
6. We see Last, the last of the above alerts with time, optional broker time or computer time.

1. Optional ACS28 can be set to higher TF. Then only the GAP/dGAP will be applied to the higher TF, the filter when CS is outside of MFib 100/-100 and the cross will remain on chart TF and all impulse signals will of course also remain on chart TF.
2. In picture above we choose on Impulse to print the values in sub-window 2 to make place for "CS28 Combo Signals" in the main window.
3. Alerts on Impulse are set to false, for ACS28 it is optional.
4. Each signal 1 to 4 can be set to show on chart or not, to use or not, and to alert or not, all alerts can be used as MT4 pop up or email or push to your phone.

How long after the Pink X's would you consider a continuation trade?

At the time this looked like a decent iGAP, but its not too long after the end of trend X's.



I believe in this case a look at the 1h should have kept me safer, right?

M1 is very volatile. For beginners with CS trading it is better to start with M30 (or at least M15) and a higher TF for trend.
For smaller TFs "Outer MFib stop"-value can be set higher and for higher TFs can be set lower. (This is implemented in the dashboard.)
The pink X shows when CS is extreme, so when its gone "its over". (draws when candle is closed.) Always watch the higher TF too.
